Be prepared to pay A LOT for drinks at the bar.First time we went in they had a DJ playing that night. $10 a person cover. No big deal. Went to the bar and asked if they have pitchers. Said yes but didn't tell us the price. After 4 pitchers went to close our tab and found out they charged us $45 a pitcher! Talked to the manager and she was sweet and understood us being upset and automatically refunded us saying it was because of the DJ they had that they charge an inflated price.So, wanted to go back and give it a second try, but I called before hand. Talked to a guy. He was nice on the phone and said it was "slower" so they're not charging high prices. When it gets busy they charge more......ummmm...WHAT?!! So we went. Walked in and asked how much a pitcher is. Guy had a major attitude and said "it's the same price as the last time you were here, $45 a pitcher" and then walked away without even taking our drink order. So we just got up and left and went to the Switch Inn down the road. Half the prices and friendly staff.It's a shame because doing the hookah at the JZ is a fun and different experience, but after that attitude and the prices for drinks it's not worth it.
The bartender tonight was so rude and disrespectful. I asked for a sweet/strong drink and his response was negative. He said ,"I don't mix sweet drinks that's strong"... what kind of a bartender are you sir?...we left. He was not friendly at all...
I really enjoy coming to this place. I love the music, ambiance and the service was great. It was Sunday and slow so I'm not sure how it would be during busy times. They charged a 15% service charge fee and it was only two of us at the table but I didn't mind because the service was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food is reasonably priced as well.I've also gone for their party nights and I've had a really nice time. The music is always really good and it's a diverse crowd and just lots of people having a nice time. Some people were dressed to impress while others were dressed very casual which I liked because if you just wanted to go out for a drink and a night of dancing you didn't feel like you had to get all dressed up.
I hate to only give a 3 star only because the bar tender Jade omg was absolutely 100% amazing!! The food well my husband and I both got different food and his was disappointing his steak was rare when asked for medium well. Mine was amazing. When all the food came out it looked amazing. But all in all it’s not a bad place to go. Will go again as long as Jade is there
This review is based off of an experience I had with the manager directly. Everyone else was amazing but the manager was horrible with customer service. My friend and I came in for some food, and had a tab open..eventually we wanted a drink. We went to the bar to order and so when it came time to pay, the counter had our card. The manager was explaining something that we couldn’t hear because of the loud music, we asked him what he was saying because again…we couldn’t hear him over the loud music, and he ripped the drink out of my friend’s hand then just walked away. It turns out you can’t order from the bar if you have a tab open with a table which I completely understand, but that was still very rude to do from a customers perspective. He could have literally made something up like “oh that was the wrong drink” or “ just gently taken it and been like” give me a moment”. Just straight up snatched it while we were drill very present at the bar trying to understand what he was saying. No effort was made by the manager to apologize or even like clarify what was going on. When ever I expressed my concern to someone else, they even had trouble hearing me as well. I typed it in my phone as a note for them to read and was notified that the person that snatched the drink was the manager and that’s when another bartender was very nice enough to educate us on the process and made sure we heard her. Which then we understood and respected the policy, but what was not tolerated was the level of disrespect from the manager
Went on a random Friday night for Hip Hop and R and B night, and we had a great time. Music was great, DJ played the fire songs, and the food was great. S/O to the bartender Carlos!!
The nachos were no good! Wings were tasty, drinks were good, rice and beans, delicious! What was awful was getting the Bill, paying an above average tip ( over 20% ) then realizing after i went home that they had added a 20% gratuity to the bill without telling us!!! I feel ripped off! If it weren’t for that alone i would go back and would recommend the place. They stole from me and that’s, that! Trickery, thievery
Great food nice music and the atmosphere is beautiful
I've been there maybe six times in the past 6 months. I was very happy place. Large restaurant, good food and good prices. Ran into a problem last week. I did not realize that a service charge the supply to all customers checks. It added 15% to the bill. I did not notice any signs in the restaurant saying there was a service fee and no one behind the bar told us about it. So we left an additional 20% on top of our check. About a $30 tip. I feel like I've been ripped off badly. They will not give the tip money back, of course. Anyway, no way to run a business
I love this restaurant. The food is very delicious and the servers are very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking food with lots of flavor this is the place to be♥️
