The place needs to be cleaned. There’s a smell of rotten (ingredients) when you walk in that they are probably nose blind to. My problem is mainly that I waited 45 minutes for pick up when I was told 20 and while I was waiting I watched all the employees walk out of the kitchen 1 by 1 with their lunch that had just been cooked ahead of mine. I received literal brown rice (saw cook scoop out of rice cooker) instead of hibachi rice and the sushi was sitting on the sushi bar for over 15 minutes so I didn’t even attempt to eat.
Fantastic food but the wait even for pick up was a bit much. That being said, I will plan accordingly the next time. Their Singapore noodles and volcano salad are beyond delicious. The flavor is literally tapping on all your senses. I don't find too many satisfying, clean and really nice staff in the area. Hanami fulfilled all 3. I overheard a table ordering and the waitress was so amazing at making sure she ran down everything on the menu and special food swaps that could be to their liking. Amazing!
The server was sweet, but half of us had to wait pretty long for our food. It was pretty busy. The food was very good though. 4.5 stars.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I was in a mood for Japanese, and this restaurant did not disappoint. We tried several dishes, and we were impressed in each taste. Had the hot sake and I enjoyed it all. Pan fried noodles, sashimi deluxe, sushi deluxe and the bento box. For the desert you cannot go wrong with the fried bananas!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant, if you like Japanese food. I love the miso soup, edamame and the sushi rolls, especially the volcano, dragon and eel rolls. Edit: this review used to be five stars, but i just discovered they don’t take Amex, so sorry guys, you lose one star for that. If you start taking Amex ill put it back to 5. ;-)

Took 15 minutes for any sort of host to greet us. We never got our appetizer and when the server placed the rolls in front of us I immediately saw that my toro roll was completely incorrect. I showed her that it was salmon, not tuna and missing scallions. Server said “that’s our negi toro roll, I don’t know what’s going on” and walked away. The other rolls consisted of low quality fish, tuna was extremely pale and flavorless. Avocado was way underripe. Server saw that I was visibly upset and actively avoided me for a good while. My other roll had so many tempura flakes that you couldn’t see or taste anything else. When I ordered my second drink server asked how everything was and I gave her some of the negative feedback that I listed above. She took the incorrect “toro” roll off of my check. At least there’s that. Worst dining experience I’ve had in a very long time.
Went to this place for the first time last night and I must say it will not be the last. The sevice was amazing and the food was very good. Price is what you would expect from any local sushi and hibachi place. All in all I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice night out or even some good take out.
