Never had a bad meal here. Always leave full. My favorite are the chicken torta and the enchiladas con mole. Menu and restaurant decor recently updated, still amazing food and ambiance

I decided to give them another chance, as they were once my go-to. However, between my last stomach turning order of chicken soup, and today's order of enchiladas de camarones, I'M THROUGH! The most satisfying part of my meal was the complimentary chips and salsa. The enchiladas were bland, right down to the beans and rice, which took on the flavor of the aluminum tray they were served in.On to new horizons. So long, El Zapata!!

Nice little colorful restaurant, service is good, wait is not very long, which is pleasant. The dessert options are delicious, with the fried ice cream being crispy and sweet, while the tres leches pan is wonderfully light and flavourful.
Ok if you're going here... You must get the chicken soup. And if you're cutting back on meat like I am... Then order rice and beans with Pico De gallo, guacamole and refried beans.
The chorizo tacos are great. Definitely will be buying often!
El Zapata is my family's favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The food was delicious and we'll definitely be back. My only suggestion would be to double check all containers are properly sealed. There was a little leakage because of lids not being secured properly. I chalk this up to a busy takeout night from a restaurant with good food because of the weather (heavy rain). Though, it didn't affect the quality of the food. I highly recommend El Zapata's if you're looking for Latin cuisine!
