What a wonderful establishment! If you want to impress someone bring them here and buy the catfish dinner. The food was excellent, the service was great. Clean restrooms very neat and comfortable. An attractive young lady that seemed to be the owner was very nice and professional. The ambiance the music was soft and mellow. I will return when I'm in the area again. Also it was very affordable!
I don't know if I went on an off day but I was completely let down. We got the fried chicken that comes with 2 sides and the fried chicken was completely TASTELESS. I was told we weren't the first to complain about it. I was totally expecting something delicious, but the chicken was not it. The collard greens were too too sweet for my taste and the rice. I will say that the mac n cheese and cornbread were delicious. Also, the Sriracha fries were nothing special. I left bummed out, but it happens. Perhaps the other dishes are good but don't get the fried chicken, just my opinion.
The perfect place: great food made by kind people. The food is some of the best I've had. Get the shrimp and grits with tomato jam if it's available. The fried chicken and the lobster mac and cheese are amazing. The cocktails are fun and well-made. The sides are astounding -- don't forget to get the cornbread with honey spread. And save room for dessert.
Food is so good. From having them honey garlic wings too the Peach Cobbler for dessert. Staff and owner are extremely nice. Recommend going here for a great meal.

I went totally by others recommendations and I am so glad I did. This little place is a Must. The food was delicious, ambiance was great and the service was also great. I love finding a perfect spot when I visit a new place and this restaurant qualifies as that. We really enjoyed the food decor and even the playlist. The planning here was well done. Our group was 7 adults, we tried the catfish, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and the 3 cheese burger and the corn bread and homey butter. Everything was delicious. I might dream about the cornbread because the combo with the honey bitter was delectable. Thank you Bee soulful for a lovely experience. See you next time we visit the area.

I celebrated my pre birthday and birthday there and both days the food was AMAZING. Shana the owner is pleasant and friendly and she makes you feel at home. The music set the atmosphere that was so good I didn't want to leave.If you're looking for awesome authentic Soul Food I highly recommend THE BEE TAVERN. You won't be disappointed.
The cocktails were too sweet! Tasted like syrup. Crab cakes were good but the tomato sauce in the shrimp and grits was again too sweet. Overpriced for quality of food and cocktails. Decor and ambiance was average.
My fried chicken , Mac, and cheese was good!! And the cocktails were A plus!
