Smith Street Deli it is one of the best delis in Nassau. Sandwiches and salads are consistent and delicious. I judge delis by how well they prepare tuna, chicken and potato salads, and Smith Street shines on all three, as well as their health salad and chicken cutlet sandwiches.

Great service and friendly staff but waaaay too many people with no mask allowed to come inside. Social distancing was not enforced either.
First time here. Clean. Fresh. Terrific service and nice people. I go to Merrick about every 3 weeks. So I will be here each time I visit town.
If you’re looking for the best slowest staffed in the world than you found it. Maybe they should look for new stuff I think they’re past their prime. Some of the staff not friendly at all. I always pick up food from here but it has gone downhill. I didn’t know it was going to take two days just for two drinks & one sandwich. Even after all of that they still need half a day to put everything in a bag. The food is alright sometimes. Prices are OK depends on who’s charging you sometimes get over charged. I gave this place so many chances but it’s not worth it anymore. Save your time.
A turtle would win at a race against Smith Street preparing / bagging food. It takes them an hour to make food. And there’s like at least 20 staff in there at a time. Ridiculous! And they always get it wrong - after waiting an hour, you won’t even get what you ordered. They have gone so downhill it’s terrible. We need a better deli in Merrick!
This Deli is clean the workers are super friendly and the food is outstanding. A must try is there philly cheese steak hero top notch.
