We placed an online order for curbside pickup. We get there at the designated time, and a worker wandering around outside says they don’t open for another hour. Okay…? Then why did your website let us place the order? He was not apologetic and didn’t offer to remedy the situation - he made it seem like it was our wrongdoing when it most certainly was not. We had paid for the order already online, otherwise we would’ve just left. Instead we had to wait, which was very inconvenient because we picked the original pickup time for a reason. On top of that, one of our drinks and one of our Hot Dogs was incorrect. Very disappointing experience.EDIT: I talked to a Heid's rep and the issue has been resolved. We happened to order at the same time their system was being updated and there was an error.
First time coming to Heid's, and I brought my appetite. I had a coney, which was good, but it would have been better with a slightly toasted bun, instead of having it fresh out of the package. The Mac and cheese was excellent, and I highly recommend it. The fries felt under seasoned, so I put the Mac and cheese on top of them, which was a great decision. The Philly was good, and the cheese on it was perfect! Next time I will try the onion rings.
We were driving on I-90 and this seemed like a good recommendation so we tried it. It was excellent. Service was great. One of best Philly cheesesteaks I’ve ever had.
Went to Heidi's for brunch in between our visits and Syracuse in Baldwinsville, wow talk about stepping back in time it was fantastic The atmosphere, the nostalgic building, the menu and the service where outstanding and the friendliness was what I saw that together I could eat at this establishment three to four times a week and I'm sure I would come away with the same fantastic feeling of friendliness and delicious hot serve food????♥️, can't wait to go back on our next visit

4.50 for a hot dog. $7 for 4 mozzarella sticks. $3 for a small milk. $4 for two cookies. When you pay with a card or your phone check boxes show up on a screen asking for tips. It's a fast food place! No waiters or hostess. Just a rude cashier. I don't tip at McD's and I find it insulting that I'm ASKED for a tip.
This is an absolute MUST if you are visiting the Syracuse area. I moved out of the area in 2004, but is always a destination with every return trip home I make. the Hoffmann's hot dogs are on a whole other level and I've tried and failed to find a suitable replacement around the place I currently live. Delicious Macaroni and potato salads....and I don't like potato salad! it is worth standing in line for.
