We had not been here in a while and were really surprised at the quality of the food. My wife ordered the Fiesta Salad. She said it was super-fresh with crispy lettuce and vegetables, and the chicken was very tasty. I ordered the Smothered Brisket Sandwich, which was very savory. It came on a plump Brioche roll with onions. As a side, I had an order of the Parmesan Garlic Fries, which were delicious. The highlight of the meal was the Number 5 Peanut Butter Pie, a concoction of homemade peanut butter and chocolate graham-cracker amazingness. Remicade was an absolutely terrific waitress! She knew the menu and made some great recommendations. She was a very enthusiastic ambassador for the restaurant. Bill with one during and tip came to $60, a bargain when you consider how tasty the food was.
Had a pretty good meal in Liverpool left the waitress a $10 tip and wow she took it upon herself to also add another $15 tip to my credit cards bill after I left. Called and spoke to the manager and in my opinion it was not a big deal so apparently they do that quite often so check your statements they are ripping people off
My oldest son and is buddy said they wanted burgers for lunch as we were driving through Liverpool, NY today and I knew exactly where to go.....The Bull n Bear on Rte. 57. I got the Vermonter with the works and it was ridiculously delicious! My son got the burger topped with pulled pork and his buddy got the Big Cheese. Both of them looked so good and the boys said they were, in their words, Redonkulously good! Also, I got the Sweets w/ maple butter, which are friggin amazing and I definitely recommend a little of the cornbread because it is so fresh and the maple butter compliments it perfectly. If I lived in Liverpool, East Syracuse, or Fayetteville, I would make this a weekly stop for sure! Bring the next Bull n Bear to Camillus! Hahahaha!
When your ordering take out you might want to show up 30 minutes after the time they tell you otherwise you’ll be standing in everyone’s way wearing your stupid Covid mask for an extra half hour.
My family and I have been to Bull and Bear many times over the past three years. Service is always painfully slow. That has never changed. This time, we went in for a promotion that is good through the end of 2020. Said promotion promotes Habitat for Humanity. EVERY OTHER restaurant/bar involved has honored this promotion. Not Bull and Bear. Not only did they not honor this (without posting that they are not honoring ANY promotions at this time), but Manager Paul was also exceedingly rude to my family when we asked our promotion be honored. Unfeeling, mean, unclear, and the food made me sick a few years ago. I only returned for this promotion.
Had to wait an additional 40 minutes after quoted food will be ready time. Once arrived told 10 minutes but waited 10 plus 30. No apology given.
They lie bad. Told me bill was $39 it was accully $51. This was a pick up. Said they would bring it out to my car. They didnt do it. Half hour later i went in to get it, wasnt even bagged up. Piss poor service. Never again
Visited for lunch today and the service was absolutely horrible! Waited what seemed like forever for our food and when it did come out our meal came out before our appetizer did. We waited a good half hour after eating and plates picked up before receiving the check. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had here. I noticed other customers having the same issues as well. Will be thinking twice before going back.
Four of us went for dinner Sunday evening. Family and kid friendly. Wait staff was most accomodating. Two of us had delicious burgers cooked as we requested. One had BBQ pork. One had a chicken sandwich. Sides were tastey. Plan on going again!
While in the area for one of our car shows the wife and I hooked up here for dinner with her sister and brother in law. They're known, according to locals, for their BBQ so I went with the BBQ pork sandwich. DEElicious ! Lisa , who was very friendly and quite helpful, provided us with plenty of cornbread. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Took a little bit to arrive but you can't rush good food. I also ordered honey BBQ wings to go. Those, which were great, were devoured as my lunch at the car show. We'll be back !
