Great fish, but the market is very expensive
Went here for dinner tonight. The owners brother was very nasty. My special needs son touched the light switch and he yelled at him. I said I am right here and told him not to do that. Then I went onto explain that my son has Autism and he is impulsive. He whispered something to the young cashiers and started laughing. Heartbreaking to say the least. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. No lemons, our cheeseburgers had no cheese and when I asked they said they ran out of cheese. The never gave us nut crackers for our lobster and when I asked for them, they asked for 10.00 to rent them .
We have been visiting Southside for many years, ejoying their fresh seafood dinners & takeout. We particularly enjoy their chowders & lobster bisque. We highly recommend Southside!Mike & AnneMarie Sniffen
love this place.food is delicious, fresh, just the way u like it. Anthony is the best.
The fish, crab cakes and oysters were fresh and full of great taste. The ladies at the front counter were friendly and worked at a pace that helped move the line along in an acceptable manner. The workers selling the fish, chucking the oysters at the bar and the bus boy all were gentleman.
If you live on the south shore and haven’t been to southside then you must be living under a rock. Fresh fish and mollusks from the market or order a plate of fried oysters and a catfish sandwich and clams on the half shell and a side of potatoes and a lobster and a nice cold draught beer. You will leave happy. Better than anything you could ever get at a grocery store.
their ordering steps so confusing and scattered, the oyster guy shacking the oysters that i ordered and holding cash in same hands, we got shrimp cocktail frozen not even edible. left unhappy.
We ordered takeout from Southside on Saturday night. We had to wait an extra 25 minutes for the food to come out. When we got home we realized that there were four items missing that we paid for. I called but the girl on the phone didn’t seem concerned about it. This will be the last time we takeout dinner from Southside.
We ordered a 3 pound jumbo shrimp platter for New Year’s Eve. When we opened the platter and served it the odor was awful and the shrimp was slimy! We were so embarrassed and needless to say we threw it in the garbage!
The fish and chips is just a frozen lean cuisine and not worth 20 dollars.
