An older relative told me to eat here after hearing that we had a hotel near here. I’m glad we came for breakfast. We were warmly greeted by the family/owners (assumed) and a beautiful case of pastries. Our server was Edwin-professional friendly personal service. I had eggs Benedict, which is my go to on travel (or biscuit/gravy). I’ve had either in nearly every state. My eggs Benedict were near the best I’ve had. Maddie had the turkey omelette. They fill your plate with house potatoes that will satisfy an lumberjack. A very diverse crowd. Everyone seemed to enjoy the place and weren’t in a rush to leave. Our food was great. The manager was also attentive without being intrusive. Well run restaurant. Music being played was at the perfect level which is rare.

Attentive service. Great selection and variety. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Clean and spacious dining room. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Accommodating to groups. For a snack, a dessert, or a full meal, South Bay Diner is a great choice.

The staff is super friendly, all of them. That's why they got the 3 stars otherwise 1 star diner all day. To be honest my food was trash! By the time I drove 0.8 miles home yes, I live that close, my bun was soggy the food was cold. It must have sat in the back. The chicken was processed I thought it was real chicken especially for $15. I wanted to give them another chance and order a burger like you can't screw up a burger right? Then again, as bad as my sandwich was I will not give them a chance to ruin my meal and waste my money ever again. I suggest not going there to eat. Then again you might like low quality food.

This is my favorite diner! Guests are treated like family. The food is delicious and plentiful. Whether you are with friends or family this diner never disappoints.

Really great food here and the staff is always very nice and accommodating. Love eating here

Great experience Ben the waiter was amazing had all the menu knowledge and they were trying out a new experience: Taco Tuesday and the tropical steak tacos and the seared tuna tacos were to die for ??? my wife and I’s whole experience was amazing and the owner came out delivering the food and his personality was amazing. You must go here tell Them TJ sent you. ??????????

Stopped in for lunch and was reminded on how good this diner is. It's a bit far for me but I wish it was in my hood. Had a Reuben, which was delicious and my fiancé had a Patty Melt which was also superb. The waiter was so nice and on his game that it made a quick bite exceptional.

This is my favorite diner in the Lindenhurst/Babylon area. The space is nice (spacious, comfortable and visually pleasing), the food is very good and the staff is very attentive and efficient. Special props to the front desk. We have noticed the pancakes ? aren't quite as good as they were a few months ago (say Aug/Sep 2021).

Typical Diner fare with nice ambience, customer service, and good sized portions for the price. Will definitely be back!

I met a friend for brunch. We were treated very nicely. The food wasn't bad but, I've had better. What stood out most was, as nice as our waiter was, not once did he ask us did we want more coffee or tea. After we finished eating, not once did he ask us did we want anything else. He presented the check and thanked us for dining there. She and I were the only chocolate people there at the time. Again, the cashier and our waiter were very pleasant. However, I felt as though they would prefer we not return. It is my hope that it's not how people of color are always treated. The question is would I go back? My answer is … it's not a place I would return to.
