This is probably the most authentic style sushi that you can get in the upstate area. sushi was very fresh tasting. This is a small hole in the wall place and you order and sit in a tight area. It's very close to a japanese sushi-ya.

The worst experience. Waited 25 minutes for 3 rolls. not only that, got my food and it tasted like cleaner and the salmon and shrimp smelt bad and tasted old. also so overpriced!!
Cute little place owned and ran by a sweet couple, too get the yummiest freshest sushi and even homemade ginger dressing, that I personally think is the best I've tasted

Yoshi is the owner and he's the only one I've ever seen rolling the sushi. A true quality mom and pa place to get some quality sushi. My favorite place to go. I leave feeling the most pleasantly full and I love to support the family that owns it and runs it!
I eat here 2-3 times a week & today my order was made incorrectly. I turned around to go back in thinking i just was not charged for the order. Yoshi and his wife laughed in my face and said the sushi had been eaten even after offering to pay for another order. I told them i was paying for another order his wife proceeded to throw the food i had already paid for in the trash after asking me to bring the order back into the store accusing me of trying to “get over”. The food is GREAT. Customer service horrible this is now my third bad experience and i will not be returning.
Best Sushi anywhere. Yoshi prepares delicious, artful sushi, Nigiri, bowls & Makimono. If I don’t know what I want, I order Yoshi’s dinner box or lunch box. I also love his Hiram Ponzu and trying his different ala carte items. Now that I’m traveling again, I don’t enjoy Sushi any place else. It’s always a treat to return to Yoshi Sushi.

This is the best sushi.Not just in Albany, it is the best sushi I have ever had, including when I was in Japan. Yoshi knows how to do every roll perfectly and his lunch special is where it's at. There is no other place to get sushi in Albany, every other place I've tried is owned by Chinese or Taiwanese people. Yoshi is legit and makes all his sushi right in front of you in the traditional way with delicious twists for flavor that make me feel like I'm in Food Wars.I would give Yoshi Sushi 6 stars if that was an option.
