While visiting Albany for the weekend we had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. The restaurant is lovely and the atmosphere is very nice and The bartender was on point. Our waitress was Liz. She is one of the best servers we have ever had. She was a jewel! After chatting for a few minutes she made us feel like old friends.We ordered the "date night" special. We thought we would share a meal , but no, we each received a full meal. We started with a fresh salad and rolls. Then we had the best prime rib I have ever eaten, shrimp, veg, mashed potatoes and pop overs. We also each received a beverage, hubby had the beer and I had the house wine. We were too stuffed for dessert but Liz wrapped them to go. The chocolate mousse and the lemon cake were both incredible. As a plus, the to go silverware and napkins were very nice quality. If you are ever in the area stop in, you will be glad that you did!
Greeted by the best smile and a wonderful staff. Food was amazing. Not rushed, nor did we wait long for the food. Wedge Salad was perfect, I could have that every day. Special I had was the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese. Ate 90% of it the next day because the salad was filling. No issues whatsoever.
Always a great experience. We got married there 5 years ago in the restaurant in front of the fireplace and it was the perfect setting.Food is delicious and the staff are always very friendly.We had the prime rib and it was great, cooked perfectly and came out fresh and hot.
My wife and I came on Valentines weekend. We enjoyed a memorable evening. Our hostess, Mary was really very nice. She explained the specials and never made us feel rushed. I had the prime rib and my wife had the shrimp special. Both were prepared to perfection. We did have appetizers and dessert which were just as delicious. The ambiance made for a comfortable/relaxing atmosphere. Loved the fireplace! We will definitely return soon. Thank you for a great night.
We had a baby shower on Sunday, Feb 6 in the East Room. Our hostesses, Penny, Rachel, and Myla, went above and beyond the entire time. They helped me bring things in, set up, even moved a piece of furniture in. They complimented me on the decor many times, and were so accommodating to our every need. Everything was perfect. And they were a big part of that! I would highly recommend having an event here. ❤
We have stayed at The Century House and enjoyed every minute. The room was clean, updated and very quiet and private. We had Valentine’s dinner there last night and Wow~ the cuisine was impressive as well as the staff. We really enjoyed chatting with the married bartenders while we waited for our table. They are splendid! We highly recommend The Century House for a peaceful stay, and delightful dinner experience. Kellie & Bill
Always have amazing experiences here at The Century House! I've been a guest in both the hotel AND the restaurant several times and I'm never disappointed. From the welcoming and updated rooms to the classic cuisine in the restaurant, The Century House is the total package! Can't wait to make my next visit!
We had dinner here tonight because it was my husband’s birthday. They had prime rib special!! So both of us ordered it. Me- the person who when I do eat beef it’s usually a tenderloin filet. This was delicious- I ate the majority of my meal- which I normally have leftovers. Everything was done to perfection. We both truly enjoy are meal.
Attended a function ... happy with the cocktail party variety of foods. Dinner was delicious. Dessert table options were excellent, especially the delicious bread pudding, cobbler and cake. Wait staff were very attentive.
I booked the Century House for our upcoming wedding venue. Phil is amazing in every way. He is extremely organized and covers any questions you may have. I find myself emailing him at least every few weeks with a different question & he always responds within the hour. I can’t wait for our big day & will definitely write another review when all said and done.
