Deceptive Happy Hour, house wine not included, even though I specifically asked to order drink during HH. Glass of wine also cost more than menu price. Stingy amount of canned (not fresh) clams with linguine & “clam” sauce. It used to be a better place.
Really 3.5 Stars but rounded up because we have only tried four dishes --no apps, pizzas, or desserts.Second visit here in three month period because I liked the Eggplant Parmesan. Eggplant is sliced thin and dipped in flour, then egg. Excellent. Pasta is not homemade. Sauce is good not great..My husband's Seafood Combo dish was overpowered by the heavy tomato sauce. We think it would have been better with the alternative white wine sauce listed on the menu. It was not as good as the Seafood Fra Diavolo we have had at other restaurants in area.The bread is served warm and "toasted," but it tasted stale on both visits. The crust crumbles. I wonder what it would taste like at room temp. A decent salad is included in the cost of the entree which is nice.They serve draft Peroni which contributed to the upgrade in stars.The service is good but not great. Sufficient servers but had to ask for refills on water.The 70's music was blaring too loudly until someone must have asked for the volume to be toned down.We think there is better Italian food served in Schenectady.
Ordered veal..spent 80 bucks for two meals.money not an issue..just like a ok dinner..didn't expect great things to begin with..but this was horrible.. cannot even chew the veal..like show leather, salad consisted of two pieces of lettuce and a slice of tomato.. threw it in the garbage..making pbj's for dinner ..80 bucks out the door..never again..don't do it.. you'll regret it!!!!! Horrible

Ordered takeout through Grubhub from Mercato’s III tonight. It was fantastic. Got Veal Piccata. Veal was super tender and the sauce was perfect. My son got Chicken Parmesan and it was HUGE and very good. Salads were fresh and crispy with excellent house made dressing. Italian bread was fresh and crusty! Highly recommend this place!
Excellent wait staff and the food is delicious. I recommend the Tuscany chicken.
