Finally able to get in to this popular seafood spot in Latham, NY. Hooked Market & Seafood doesn't take reservations and doesn't need to either. We visited the first time on Sat 6/25/22 at 5:30pm. And we were fortunate to grab the last two seats at their small bar next to the dining area. Hooked is half market, half restaurant. The market carries a wide variety of fresh seafood. And the market has soups, chowders, salads, and ready to heat & frozen meals to go. A great selection including cocktail shrimp platters. Lots of choices for every taste. We were greeted by Carl the bartender & oyster shucker. He explained the raw bar selections, got our drinks & menus. The raw bar offers 7 types of east coast oysters from briny to sweet. Excellent at $2.25 each. My bride had the fish & chips ($20) beer battered w/ fries & apple coleslaw. She said it was very good and she knows fish fry, we shared the corn & squash arancini ($13) - good exterior crust, interior - very soft and just OK, different than the usual Italian style arancini. I had two seafood empanadas ($7 ea.) - Very tasty & very sloppy good. Never had these before-pretty good. The total for two drinks each, two meals, & two apps w/tax & tip was $98. Which was expected for this place & location. Hours: Tue-Sat 11am-8pm. A good first impression and we'll see you again. Thank you. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY

Nice sit down very fresh seafood restaurant (with non-seafood choices) My companion and I chose an array of small plates that were of a wonderful variety. They were very busy with not too long a wait. The seating is limited and also has a raw bar. Our server was kind and attentive without being intrusive at all.The quality of the seafood was the best that I have had in the Capital Region. It was in a smaller location that was part of the Rte 7 Food Court. I look forward to taking friends back here soon!

Always love their food! We used to go when they were in Galleria 7, glad they outgrew and have their own restaurant and market. Pictures are oysters, poke bowl and Baja fish tacos. All amazing!!

One of my wife's Japanese friends recommended this place (the Japanese are very fussy about their seafood), so we tried it - and we have been back several times. The food is excellent. Prices are quite reasonable. Atmosphere is a bit sterile and characterless, but the food more than makes up for that. And if you are up for a chuckle, check the signs on the restroom doors!

Amazing service, great food, high quality seafood

Amazing Crab Cakes and Seafood Pasta. Margarita was also delicious.

With high hopes! The service was slow ? and food was a big Disappointment.

The seafood is all we tried. Very fresh and cooked to perfection. Portions were small. Although the server was working very had, the service was very slow. Overall we felt the price was high for the amount of food.

Delicious ?My daughter got a dozen clams and I ordered the crab cakes. They were both amazing. I love how they use use a cookbook for your check, too. That was really cute.

I'm giving 4 stars because the oysters were awesome. Had the VERY expensive tiny lobster roll. Have had better! It was stringy and watery. My cousin had the fried fish sandwich and said it was great. Pleasant waitstaff.
