Excellent quality sushi with a nice variety of rolls around $20-22 per. I tried the pot stickers and they are lackluster...so I will stick to sushi and rolls.

I’m reluctant to tell anyone how great this place is because I don’t want to have to wait in a line when I come. But here goes. The chef hand picks the fish and has been using the same purveyors for 40 years. And he’s actually Japanese. You won’t find anything like this place anywhere in the upper Hudson valley region. Hands down best sushi around.
Is the best experience in Japanese food in the entire Hudson Valley area!!!We had the omakase version and my favorite dish was black code that was in maceration in miso for 4 days. Also the nigiris: Toro (fat bluefin tuna belly) was amazing and the eel is my favorite.Worth to travel to try this great authentic japanese feast!
We went to SushiMakio for the first time, expecting it to be a closed dining room like all the other sushi places. To our surprise, and eventual delight, the place is open, the food is fresh, delicious and we had a great experience. We'll be back!
We go here regularly and it is a spiritual experience. The love and artistry and freshness and detail and presentation of this artisanal food is like no other in our area. We watch others in the restaurant become equally happily overwhelmed by this olfactory delight too each time we dine there. Thank you to the owner and top notch staff!
