Service was fairly friendly and food was tasty and plentiful. Outside seating on the street was a bit awkward but we were moved to lovely outdoor seating when it became available.I've read some reviews that I think actually apply to Ole Savanah not this restaurant, Savona's.I would certainly eat here again and look forward to trying their other locations.
Delicious and large portions. The fettuccine bolonese was hearty and tasty. The chicken caprese Flatbread was excellent as well. Service was friendly and professional.
Excellent Italian food.Loved the Meatballs and Stack of Eggplant appetizers. They have Eggplant 3 different ways...baked, rollatini and stacked with a lovely cream sauce.
We shared one of the best pizzas I've ever had and a delicious salad. I'll recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
I think the test of good Italian is in the quality of the tomatoes. Savonas passed this year, one example their bruschetta, which is Excellent. The location is on a scenic street near the waterfront. I highly recommend it.
Food was good as was the waiter. The fella that actually brought the food to the table, smelled like he had been dipped in smoke. It was so strong that it lingered for quite some time; he also didn't seem to know how to put the dishes down without nearly hitting my chest. It's a shame that Savona seems to have settle for an employee that considers his smoking more important than the restaurant's guests! The street parking was easy but we did arrive between lunch & dinner. You'll need change for the meters ($0.25 per 15min).
Stopped by for lunch mid week while in Kingston. Good selections of meals, many gluten free options, including pizza (was delicious)and pasta. Servers were very friendly and attentive. Offered to refill drinks without having to ask. Nice location. Outdoor seating available too.
The food is amazing surprisingly good marriage of different flavors as well as aesthetics. I highly recommend any of the pizzas to go with whatever entrees you order. The best entrees in my opinion are any that include fish, meatball, eggplant and prosciutto. I feel the chicken, steak and veal options are not as involved with less complicated flavor. I don't think there's a bad appetizer but our favorite is the cauliflower zucchini. Multiple appetizers with a pizza will do just fine if you can't decide on an entree that's okay you will be back!
My family and I went for one of my son's birthday dinners. Calamari and Tomato Bruschetta appetizers very good. Breadsticks very buttery and oily (as in dripping) but good (not healthy, but good). Lobster Ravioli - excellent. Mushroom-Truffle Pizza very good (from -10 to +10 my son gave it a +7). Cheese plate appetizer for 2 - which one of my son's had as a dinner - 6/10 (it would be nice if instead of Mozzarella and Parmesan, they had Mozzarella and Machego or Gruyere); I had a Pasta dish and the Pasta was over cooked - not mushy but not al dente either.. just too cooked. Service - excellent. Latte and Cappucino - very good. Would definitily go back - would probably order the Lobster Ravioli but if I ordered a pasta dish would specify that the pasta be cooked al dente.
Fantastic experience here! Staff was friendly and the small atmosphere is great! We came with our kids and they were very accommodating. The bread is killer btw!
