Date night, family dinner, quick bite of sushi, special occasion party.... all would be great at Kotoni of Kingston! Yun, his wife and staff worked very hard to make sure we had a great time! And, we did! This was a family gathering of 20! We were celebrating our daughter’s graduation and my mother’s birthday. Many of us drove in from over an hour away, so we appreciated Kotoni graciously accepting those of us a little late due to Fri traffic. Extremely hospitable and accommodating, they happily agreed to store the dessert we brought in their freezer until we were ready for it! We all had drinks, ordered our meals and settled in for the show. Our party was so large that we had 2 hibachi chefs, but we all sat around 1 table. The food is (of course!) very fresh and nicely prepared with the usual flare and flame from hibachi chefs. Great entertainment for the kids and the adults! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show and their meals; some seafood, some chicken, some steak, some vegetarian.... all delicious! The salad was fresh and tasty, the soup also rich and delicious. It’s not easy to cater to such large parties, especially when there are many other tables on a busy Fri night, but Kotoni handled us with grace and hospitality. Although we ordered the Hibachi Dinner, which includes soup and salad, they do have an a la carte menu with good looking appetizer and entrée selections, and a nice sushi menu. There is a long, attractive bar and separate dining rooms for a la carte and hibachi. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. We highly recommend planning a family dinner, special occasion or your next date night here at Kotoni of Kingston!
The service was extremely pleasant... the food not so much.I'm not a big fan of Asian fusion to begin with. It's like they're over-catering to an American audience that thinks they all look like each other, the must all eat the same food.Having said that, I wasn't in the mood for sushi, so i had garlic chicken. The menu says its spicy... it is not. Not is it particularly flavoursome. For the record, out of 4 people, only one managed to finish their meal.This is one example of a restaurant where great service isn't going to bring me back.

One of my favorite sushi spots!The staff are super nice, the fish is always really fresh, and the presentation of all their dishes is always so beautiful.A must visit place in Kingston.Plus the music they play is always straight bangers.
Staff were very nice, the food was fresh, and the quality was great (as in no cheap ingredients). Nothing was over salted too and they did a great job at packaging our to go order. In particular I really enjoyed the stir fry and the fried rice I got - they were both excellent! Overall this is a solid recommendation.
Been coming here for years. It was sad when the all you could eat left, but then they brought in a lot of good new things. Still was eating there multiple times a week, and still would be but now… the price creep is happening very aggressively. Taro milk tea used to be 3.50 its now 5.25 The spicy combo B went from 16.95 to 19.50, Halloween roll went from 14 to 16.95. To name a few. This has been happening over the course of maybe 6 months. It was at a price point for what they serve before, and now I cant justify going to my favorite place anymore. I dont see this creep slowing down either, so be wary of menu prices on the flyers they give out or online, they arent up to date and wont be for a while until they finally settle on a price. The food is good, but youll have to find sushi at that price of quality somewhere else.

I order from this place quite often and there has never been a miss. Always on point and delicious. My go to is that pepper tuna avocado roll. So amazing.
This place is tasty love the food. HATE that every time I call to order they say 15-20min but wait until I arrive to make the food. I’m BUSY I call ahead for a REASON this is BAD business.
