Literally the best onion soup I’ve ever had. Perfect taste of the broth, perfect cheese melt, and using dark croutons instead of one lump of bread. Kings valley diner!
ordered a take out, and when I got it home there was a hair around the lettuce in the wrap. I called several times to no answer. I called next day, an asked to speak to a manager. I was told to give my name an # an the manager that was on that evening would call. I got no call. I know things happen, but atleast own it an make things right with the paying customer... I will not be a returning customer.
In the age of fast food this diner stands above other restaurants in the area for their attention to detail and options to pick up or stay in and enjoy your food and time. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap after a friend had suggested it, and there’s a perfect blend of chicken and spices that were very savory. I would go back here in a heartbeat.
Today, while in Kingston, we decided to eat lunch somewhere different so we tried the Kings Valley Diner. What a great choice! As we entered the diner, we were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our waitress Linda was friendly and attentive. We ordered a turkey panini w/curly fries, chicken soup, fried chicken w/mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits. The food presentation was wonderful, everything appeared homemade, and the overall taste of food was delicious. As an added bonus, there was enough for both of us to take home leftovers. I highly recommend the Kings Valley Diner and will be going back the next time in Kingston.
Was visiting the area this past week and tried several diners while there. This diner was the best out of the 5 that I tried. The chicken soup was the best out of all 5. Clean, more updated and tasteful. Staff was friendly but on the slower inattentive side and they appeared to have a good amount of staff so no workers was not the problem. Definitely a must try if in the area and you have time to sit a bit.
Big servings and yummy food. Enjoyed the food we ordered. Better than usual diner food. Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating. We'll be back next time we're in the area.
Been going here for years. Teddy runs a tight ship. And his staff is the best. Had a late Easter dinner with our son and girlfriend.
For my personal 'Diner Inspection', I look for 2 things right away: 1) aside from being extremely busy, are they clean? 2) Do they make a good Sauage Gravy & Biscuits? KVD smoked both tests, and on top of that had great service, staff and prices. Highly recommended.
WAFFLES AND CALAMARI!!!!Been here a few times for breakfast and once for dinner while visiting family. They have a very large menu so there is sure to be something for everyone's taste. My nieces and I love their great waffle selections, we had the fried calamari for appetizers on our dinner trip and it is so good that we now have it at every visit, even with our breakfast. Service is also great and the food come out timely and in large portions.
Waited 15 minutes . Flagged a blond and a brunette waitress. Were ignored until finally th e bus man cam to or rescue and finally a great waiter who had just come on calmed us down and took out order. Didn't work. My wife has Alzheimer's and kvd is one of the few places she can still feel comfortable in. That's over now thanks to the waitresses who were so rude to an ill woman.
