We went to experience this old tavern and itâs history. Food was good and affordable. It was pretty warm inside the restaurant but it had a nice charm to it. Had a nice outdoor set up and lively bar. Overall a nice experience in Kingston.
Love love love eating here. Best clams casino and bacon wrapped scallops Iâve had in years. London broil is always good, and wonderful French onion soup. Specials are always interesting. The outdoor patio is lovely and the historic interior is charming. When in Kingston we eat at least twice a week!
We were traveling through the area and they were kind enough to fit us in at the last minute. Food and service were both great! The only negative was the temperature. It wasn't oppressively hot, but warm. Seeing how well maintained this historic building is, offset the lack of air conditioning. We probably should have opted for an outdoor table. The fisherman's platter (pictured) was delicious!
Excellent service, delicious food, beautiful old tavern. Bar was a little loud and rowdy, but easily lived with. A+ all around.

My husband really enjoyed his pasta dish. I had a cheeseburger. Nothing special. The curly fries were very good. We ate outside which was very nice. Make a reservation if you want to eat outside at peak times.

Vintage, charming with delectable food
We truly enjoy dining here - in winter, with the warm atmosphere by the fireplace, or in the summer, outdoors on the shaded lawn, or on the covered patio. Many good dining selections - and although we are not fond of “most” fries - the spiral fried here are wonderful - and easy on our tummies. The staff is always cheerful and very helpful - and the building itself is such a historical treasure. We live in Kingston, and although there are many good restaurants, this is in our top set of rotating selections.
The staff ‘forgot’ us , then bent over backwards to apologize and comp the wine. The staff was knowledge about the old building and happy to share the info. The food was outstanding! We had quite a variety of entrees and everyone was pleased.
