You want good BBQ? This is the place for a good home cooked meal that'll have you stuffed. The restaurant has a very cozy and inviting feel to it, with a small bar, tables and a nice outside seating area. The waitstaff was extremely kind and everyone tried their best to be as kind and warm as possible, which made it very enjoyable. The food itself was exceptionally good for BBQ, and I'm a chef! The ribs were fat and juicy, with meat that fell off the bone. We were stuffed afterwords but a good ice cream bowl made us feel right. 10/10!

Really good food, we had the brisket and "Legendary 48 hour free range chicken" plus Mac&Cheese, Slaw, garlic mashed potatoes. All stellar. Great service, our server Ethan.

Hickory catered my wedding at Locust Grove on 5/28/2022. It was a wonderful experience working with them. Steve is incredibly quick to respond to emails. Brie led the team on the day of and set up the space exactly as I asked. The food was delicious. We got many compliments on the brisket and the pig. The severs were also great about making sure my husband and I got to try the passed appetizers. Overall it was a very good experience. My only complaint is that I had to reach out to them on the Wednesday before the wedding to confirm all of the details about setting up the space. I would absolutely recommend Hickory BBQ to friends as a caterer or just a nice place to grab dinner.

Extremely pleasant surprise to find a good BBQ smokehouse in the Catskills and SO close to the thruway. We loved the brisket, the pulled pork as well as the smoked turkey. It is rare to find a place north of Virginia that knows how to make hush puppies. - if you go there be sure to try with the maple butter! Good selection of beers on draft as well.

Amazing BBQ. Originally from southern Ga and it gets my stamp of approval. It would be a perfect 5 star if a good Brunswick stew is added as a standard item. Nothing beats a nice pulled pork BBQ sandwich with a side of Brunswick. Great staff and nice customers

Was there last night for ribs, meatloaf and sides. Always pretty steady good food. Pleasant staff and old school look. Suggestion - Please refinish the tables they have been sticky for years. Sand them down and give a fresh coat of good quality varathane. We will all enjoy it even more.

We both had the brisket (one platter and one sandwich) and it was terrific! The spiked got chocolate was delicious and their home made sauces were great

D E L I C I O U S doesn't begin to explain how well Steve completes a dish. Fantastic hospitality, fantastic food, fantastic service! Without question will be back! You will not be disappointed.

I am saddened to have to write this review as I was quite excited to try this smokehouse.. It was quite a let down and I'm disappointed in the quality of the my meal. I'm giving it 2 stars only for the fact that the quantity of food was on point for the price. The pulled pork sandwich absolutely did not have or come with enough sauce and the pork was quite bland and on the drier side.. The baked beans didn't seem to be cooked enough.. It was sort of gritty if you know what I mean. And really the flavor wasn't the greatest.. I think it needs a little sweetness like molasses and probably more mustard & BBQ. The corn bread was really bad, no flavor, dry and cold. The only thing that I felt was "OK" was the roasted potato side and some how while everything else was under seasoned, the potatoes were just a touch over seasoned.Over all I unfortunately would probably go here again and that's pretty disappointing

Great spot food worth the wait even if service is a little slow. Great choices on the menu with plenty of options. This is the second time that we visited and the second time was even better than the first time with the time to being served vastly improved.
