Affordable tasty sushi and sashimi! Went here on valentines day and had a great time. There was a group of four doing Hibachi a few tables away and that was fun to watch :-). Overall the price was affordable (considering we ordered the Sushi + Sashimi boat for 2, as well as cocktails/Sake).One of the sashimi was not completely defrosted BUT the salmon was so freaking good I still give this place 5 stars. Oh- and our server was absolutely wonderful :-) Will definitely be coming back!
It definitely is a wonderful place to go and watch your favorite food being cooked in front of you. Each one of us has our favorite food, and each one of us has our sensitivities to food and the like. Some of us can't have spices, some can, some can't have certain oils, some can. I'd like to emphasize that these cooks should ask if anyone has any sensitivities to spices or etc. I am deathly allergic to garlic, and they added it to my rice. I never had rice with garlic in it, and it nearly brought me to the emergency room. I'm still in a lot of pain, and now on a lite diet. Please for your customers sake, please ask if they are allergic to anything before someone chokes or worse like me, felt my intestines twist. Other than that it's a nice place to go to.
Excellent Hibachi style food and also great sushi. Their rainbow roll, Nemo roll and forest roll are my wife and I's three favorite rolls
Delicious food, and great atmosphere in the historic kingston waterfront district.Whether your looking for classic Japanese-american faire, or dinner and a show with hibachi this is one of the best spots in kingston.Wait staff were super attentive and polite, and the fish was fresh and refreshing. I love that they brought pickled cucumber to the table as an appetizer and pineapple chunks at the end.My date had the shrimp tempora, which was fried to perfection, and I ate an entire sushi boat for 2 that was super tasty and exquisitely prepared. Also had was some edamame and baby octopus. The entire meal was great and I loved the atmosphere of hibachi everyone was having so much fun!Would definitly recommend and can't wait to come back with a bigger party for hibachi.
this place is fun, tasty, reasonably priced, but they need to chill with all the birthday songs.
Excellent food and service. Best around by far. I've been to all of the restaurants with similar food and I always come back to this one.
Golden Ginza offers both table service and hibachi. We chose to have hibachi. Service and portions were both very good. Food was good but I had forgotten how oily hibachi is. Propably wouldn't have it again for a long time for this reason.
Clean and Friendly service. Atmosphere was pleasant. They are a Japanese restaurant that is confused as to what is Tappenyaki and Habachi style cooking. According to the Definition that was provided. Very disappointed. But the food was adequate. Very Young Hibachi Grill chefs. They need more practice.
I had been here years ago and forgotten how much fun it was to watch and eat! Fun for the whole family!
Adding an 18% fee to the bill is a tax, not a tip. Took what would have been a 20% tip to 0%.Also, no free refills on drinks. Had to ask for a server to take our order. The chef was good. The food was good. When we objected to the added fee we were told we would know about it for next time. There will not be a next time.
