I took my husband out for a Father’s Day breakfast. We are regular customers and in the past had ok experiences. Not great but not bad. However on Father’s Day they had a buffet or a limited menu. In order to have menu item we would have to sit at the counter. The buffet was overpriced for what it was. Servers were standing around just talking to each other. I had to chase down a server to get our drinks. Our ketchup bottle had disgusting dried food on the inside cap. I had to go to the bar to get it changed. No one came by to check on us or refill our drinks. Then the did a mandatory 18% tip for a party of 4. When my husband spoke to the manager she pointed about the tip in the fine print and said that that’s how they do it. She was not apologetic and even smirked when she said this is how we do things. We were going to get my daughter’s birthday cake there but after her attitude we will be getting it somewhere else. We left and will not be back.

My husband and I attempted to see sights in Albany, but most places were closed for Juneteenth. Poor planning on our part, we lost track of days being on vacation. We were feeling a little down. I decided to look for a place to eat and found Dietz's on trip advisor. Didn't want fancy, just wanted to eat and move on to tomorrow. WOW! Beautiful patio, I thought moderately priced meals and very attentive servers. THEN the meals came. SO much food, and very good. This was comfort food for us. Roast beef, mashed potatoes and veggies and cabbage and corned beef for the hubby. Plus a delicious salad, soup AND dessert. Ended up with a "to go"box for half my meal and the puddings. Honestly we could have shared a meal; they were large portions. So this was an inexpensive meal when you consider the amount of food. Thanks Dietz Diner for turning our day around!

Don't miss it! It's an institution. Great breakfast and lunch food to go or stay, great prices. Calm atmosphere, no smug overdressed yuppies from Brooklyn wearing black jackets, high heels, fedoras and George Michael beard grizzle. Thank God because they are all over this town like fancy breed dogs off the leash

The bakery is always 5/5 stars. Best jelly donuts I've ever had. They have amazing cookies, cheesecakes, turnovers, and more. All the donuts are so fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the French curler. They have great cakes and the danishes are amazing. The danish sampler that has all the different fillings is great, they really know what they are doing. They do custom orders, as well as catering. The hard rolls are the best I've ever had, no need for butter they are so good. Now as for the deli/ lunch part. The first sandwich I got there was an amazing 5/5 with delicious fries, went there again today got a similar sandwich but it wasn't very good. Roast beef was dry and over cooked, not enough cheese, and just tasted old. 2/5. I'm thinking it was just an off day for them or maybe ba different, less skilled employee. Regardless I will give it another go since the first one was so good.

Went in around 4pm and it was such a pleasant experience! The young man helping us was so nice and patient explaining what items are. We strongly suggest a visit! Everything was delish....

This place is hoppin'! They have multiple facets to their business & all of them exceed expectations. They are a full-scale bakery with takeout, and a large dine-in restaurant. Friendly service, great staff, and wonderful food. The baked goods are phenomenal.

I have literally grown up going here so it was a must for my daughter’s 1st birthday cake to be from here. Not only was the decorating perfect but the cake was so moist and the flavoring perfect. It was a hit at her party.

Outstanding bakery! The selection at Deising's is remarkable. The glazed croissant twist is truly memorable. Try it--you'll be hooked, too!

What a gem to have in your community. I really enjoyed lunch. The cream of chicken soup was delicious and loaded with chicken and could be definitely described as comfort food 100%. The cakes and pies look amazing.Had the Philly cheese steak and it is served on a homemade roll lightly toasted with tender shaved steak. Someone from Philly would have said it was good!

This place has earned it's place in the bakery world. There's a reason it's one of the best known of it's kind in Kingston. Well deserved!
