The food was excellent. The service was disappointing. It took forever to get menus and everything was very slow to come out. The bus girl took our appetizers away before we were finished. The waitress was distracted.
Awesome food, great menu selections, and superb service. One of the last great places left to dine in Kingston New York.
This was our first visit and we enjoyed our lunch,drinks and people. Though prices are rising, we can say they did not break the bank here.
Over-cooked lobster - bland seafood - chowder tasted like it was from a can - soup was forgotten and brought out after meal - no taste salad dressing - I’ve had better seafood at a diner. Over priced - No thank you
Bowery Dugout has been one of our "go to" restaurants for a while now. The food is always consistent, as is the service. While the portions this last visit were slightly smaller than usual (completely understandable considering the rising cost of everything and still certainly sufficient) and service was fine, it was really difficult to enjoy our meal when the restaurant was so cold that I had to wear my coat to be even a little bit comfortable. And I was not the only one. Several others around us also had coats on. One older woman even wore gloves. By the time I was halfway through my meal, the food was cold, so we took the rest to go. To my surprise, management and staff didn't do anything about it until we were just ready to leave, at which point someone adjusted the thermostat. Certainly not my idea of an enjoyable dinner out.
I was very surprised by how good the food was here. Seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly!
Sorry I Won’t Go Back , My Uncle Go Sick fromThe muscles they gave off a bad fishy odor when eating and my chicken dish was eh , frog legs weren’t anything to write home about very bland steak was over cooked . Coconut Shirmp, I didn’t eat but my table all enjoyed . Service was pretty good but maybe the chef wasn’t there and the helper was making the dishes I eat out almost every day , and after my experience at this place unfortunately I will not return. It was a let down for us , sorry..Bowery Dugout . S
Great early bird specials. Limited seating, recommend getting reservation. Table 1 is next to entrance door. Table 4 is corner window ?
