I'm not sure how they do it, but kudos to everyone here for always making the food and experience top-notch. Shauna is a delight to see each time, the steak quesadilla is always good, and do I even need to discuss the margarita quality (both frozen and on rocks?)
Had an incredible frozen margarita. Everything was beautiful from my drink to complimentary chips to my taco platter. Nailah was really helpful, friendly and made sure everything was perfect. Will be back.
We had a really good take out meal from Armadillo. I had the barbacoa pork burrito, my wife had the chicken tinga burrito bowl and our son had the chicken chimichonga. All the servings were large and good. I am looking forward to going back and dining on the patio.
This place is a Kingston Institution. The Guacamole is excellent. Good service, very good simple Mexican dishes. Highly recommended.
Good mexican fare in waterfront area. Outdoor seating was nice, service was very good and beer offerings were great. Not the best mexican I have ever had, but it was good. Salsa was great, chips were average. Good variety on the menu, great place for families or friends to enjoy some outdoor dining in the area!
Great food, garbage attitudes from the staff. That’s enough for me to never return here. I regret every dollar I’ve spent and telling as many people as I have to come. I’ll be flipping through my Rolodex to inform of the update.
We ordered our dinner to go and arrived to find it ready on time. From our quick look at the interior, the patio and the menu, they have significantly upgraded from the standard bar & grill that they used to be. There isn't a ton of parking right by the restaurant but you can find some in the neighborhood nearby. They have a lovely outdoor seating area that looked like it would be nice to try, with one area that looked set up for quiet, intimate dining and a separate area that was more group-, kid- and pet-friendly. We ordered chicken mole enchiladas, a cauliflower taco platter, and a Mexican Caesar salad. The chicken mole enchiladas had tender pulled chicken with a reasonably good mole sauce. The poblano rice on the side was good but a bit spicy. The cauliflower taco platter was tasty, a great vegetarian option with well cooked cauliflower and lots of radishes on top. The refried beans that came with tasted great with the cauliflower and it all worked well with the corn tortillas. The Caesar salad had fresh crispy lettuce and a light dressing. The salad was good, but a bit expensive for what it was; it probably would have been better with chicken or another protein. There was a mild mishap with our order when we arrived, but it was quickly resolved – the staff were doing very well juggling a busy dinner service and handling takeout orders while keeping everything friendly and calm. All in all, this was a tasty spot to get our dinner from. They had a nice variety of menu options and friendly service. When we’re back in the area, we’ll probably stop in and take them up on the outdoor dining.
Intimate dining experience without feeling on top of other tables. Complimentary chips and salsa. Excellent margaritas. The portions were large and everything was well seasoned. The flavor of the steak was exceptional. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the chips and salsa station being literally right outside the men's bathroom - kind of gross bring in such close proximity. The bathrooms are so small that literally a flush could make it in the salsa. Move the chips station and its a 5 star experience. Wish the margaritas were a bit bigger too for the price.
Great Mexican food with a modern flare. Always great service. Love the outdoor area.
As a Texpat who's lived in NY for 7 years and has searched far and wide for decent Tex-Mex/Mexican, let me tell you that this. is. it. Best enchiladas in the Valley and better food than most Mexican places in NYC. Consistent quality, great value, strong drinks, and attentive, fast service - especially if you get Ali or any of the bartenders.
