Jerk chicken - DRYMac and cheese - DRYER barely any melted cheeseRice - DRIESTFood overall was pretty dry. I had been thinking abt trying jerk chicken for a while and decided on a close place from the food apps and chose this one. Honestly, I wouldn't order again.I also got pork ribs for someone else and they said it was salty but didn't think the food was dry.Don't think I'd order from here again. Didn't hate it but didn't love it. I'm looking for a place that I can go YUP, that food is BOMB! If you're looking for that this place isn't the one.
i would suggest JAMAICAN FLAVORS on 134-41 Springfield Blvd, Queens, NY 11413Because they have good customer service and get food to you in a timely and caring mannerSmoke House management to Workers are Lazy and slow and disrespectful the franchise owner doesn’t care either they take 55 minutes to an hour plus in person and if you ever ask them how long for your food since you were giving a 10minute wait time they will give you pure attitude. The work culture at Smoke House is the toxic they literally roll their eyes and look at all their customers with disgust the food is not that good either so dont waste your hour here. Its my 5th time here in 2 years and I regret going to smoke house everytime i was expecting change but they dont give a f about people so that wont happen. I only ended up trying them out again because its sunday and they were the only ones open in walking distance but anywhere else especially Jamaican flavors it worth the drive.
I just recently ordered oxtails and stew chicken combo. Omg! I have never tasted so much salt in my food. It taste like the cook put a pail of salt in the pot. I was sooo disappointed. I couldn’t enjoy my food like in the past. What is going on there! Didn’t even sleep good.
We order lunch/ dinner maybe 5-7 times a month, sometimes more. Food is excellent. Part of the Door Restaurant. Drinks very good and heathy.
Food is good but customer service need improvement and to have a faster service should not have to wait two hrs for your food
There is no customer service. It was my first time there and the guy behind the counter was beyond rude. Didn’t explain anything and stared at me when I asked a question. The wait wasn’t too bad and the food was mostly good… but my side order of plantains was ONE plantain. One 2 inch slice. I love nowhere near this place so it’s my loss. But I wouldn’t go there again based on the interactions
Smokehouse used to be a tried and true Jamaican Restaurant in queens. Unfortunately the service and quality has declined significantly. First, there is absolutely no order to the way they service customers. Basically, if you’re loud and disrespectful they will run to fetch your order quickly, but if you’re humble and patient they will leave you standing there waiting for what seems like an eternity. Today I waited about an hour for my small order and was skipped over many times to service others. On top of that when I got home my order was partially incorrect. While the jerk chicken meal was tasty and consistent, the fried chicken was cold, soggy, and bland. Needless to say it ended up in the garbage. My jerk macaroni salad had bones in it and my six year old complained that her mac and cheese had no cheese. I’m so disappointed as I have frequented this establishment for years. They need effective management and protocols to improve quality. I am Caribbean and it is important to me to support local black owned establishments, however the service that I get at local Thai restaurants like BKNY (fast consistent service, pleasant costumer service, organization, and high quality tasty food)far supersedes the disrespect that I experienced at this establishment. The attitude here says, “ People are gonna buy it anyway…so who cares about good customer experience”. Wrong, I will not be spending my money where it is not valued. Also, whoever is dishing out the food is sloppy. The food was so sloppily thrown in the container.
I’ll give my review based on the taste of the food since I do only delivery.. Now the flavor is excellent and this is my go to spot for Jamaican food.. So it’s definitely a must try… The reason I gave four stars is because, there was an instance I placed an order for a large food and received a very small portion… Please note that picture I posted is not the one bad instance I mentioned..
The food is mad good. I wish their Mac and cheese was hitting hitting but it’s not lol. Service could be better. It’s soooo many orders being made and sitting on the side I feel like that’s what makes them move slow. I usually get the oxtail or jerk chicken and it never fails
H. O. R. R. I. B. L. E. I will never go back to this unprofessional restaurant again. I called in an order and still waited an hour for my food. The female cashier was rude and pulled other orders while my food sat and for cold. There is no way that someone should have to pay for such poor service. Take my advice and go to Burger King, at least you will gave it your way.
