The is the most service I’ve ever received at a Jamaican establishment. It’s not embellished, it’s just good. And the food is even better. We started with the red pea soup and the chicken soup, both were astounding! I knew we were in for a treat when both soups were delicious. I had the curry shrimp with rice and peas and my partner had the curry chicken with ground provisions. We were full after 3 bites. It was all so savory and the right amount of spice. We will return!

Felt like they were discriminating and gave bad service told me one thing and didn’t own up to their word. Made me a waste my time and money there. If I wasent allowed to sit down and eat there after I got take out why would they tell me that . Didn’t try to compromise or make up for the confusion as I was willing to pay for them to do this . Wouldn’t recommend this spot at all .

Great food. Great drinks. Very, very clean. Very friendly staff. 2nd time going here. I chose this place to celebrate my bday. One note: they need to make sure the bathroom entrance and floor are dry. My son stepped out of the bathroom and landed on his back. He said it felt like someone pulled his feet out from under him. He declined to make a report. I told him to, but to no avail.

This place is amazing! Definitely a hidden gem.The decor has a modern yet traditional feel. The staff are attentive, pleasant and proactive. The food is “TO DIE FOR!” So delicious, fresh, beautifully presented & did I say delicious! The best West Indian food in NYC.When in Queens, NYC & seeking a restaurant with West Indian flare, GO HERE!

I had curry chicken with rice & peas, vegetables and calamari (appetizer). It was a little busy but the server was on point and very friendly. The food was delicious and it definitely is a good spot to go eat at!

Great atmosphere, food was delicious. Customer Service was excellent from we entered the restaurant until we exited. The manager made a huge difference, she was on top of wait times, customer service & food. I was very happy with the new improvements

Easter Sunday was my birthday I was not in the mood for any excitement so my daughter and her husband planned on taking me out for dinner ,she invited some family members to come along and we went to the Door Restaurant. At first we were late for our appointment so we had to wait because the place was jammed packed.Eventually we were placed at a very nice spot,we ordered our meals and was really satisfied with plating, food, drink and the atmosphere. The servers were fantastic, attentive and well mannered.l cannot show all the food because we were sitting in front the food and we are included in the pics. The Door is open for private occassions ,including birthday parties. I definitely would recommend this place to any and everyone. After our dinner, the staff gathered around and sang the happy birthday song and gave me a slice of cake with a lit candle.I enjoyed myself emminsively and had to take the remaining of food home in containers they provided. We had curried Snapper with veggies, rice and peas on the side,my drink was strawberry Daiquiri Curried Lobster with veggies and martini, Buttered Lobster with mashed potato and vegetables, brown stewed Oxtail with rice and peas with vegetables to mention a few .Overall we had a fantastic time and we left stuffed .??up for the servers .????

This is the worse takeout experience I had in a very long time, the meal was supposed to be a Brown stew fish dinner what I got was an over fry fish that was dry as straw, no gravy on the rice & peas. I called the restaurant to complain about the food and Shanice told me I have to bring back the food with the receipts to get a refund ,unacceptable………… I asked if I can sent a pic because I live in Manhattan ,they told nothing they can do. Customer service is horrible disgusting I will never ever eat at The Door again. Bad food bad policy bad customer service plus unorganized.?

I order soup for my family weekly from The Door - the food and the owners are outstanding. The chicken soup is NOT chicken foot soup. If your patron requests NO CHICKEN FOOT - then don't put it in there. Whoever is serving the food for pickup is bringing the quality and reputation of The Door down. The food is not free - $11 x 4 filled with something you do not want or eat is annoying. If a customer has an allergy and requests that something not be added to a meal they are paying for - is that disregarded as well ? It's been a year of this nonsense and I want Ms. Lewis & Mr. Roberts to know what is frequently happening in their establishment.

Great service and delicious food. I would recommend this venue for both casual and special events. I had the Ox-tail with Mac and cheese. Good portion sizes and authentic Jamaican drinks. What more can you ask for.
