Lots of bright sun space, very calmAmbiance. THey really told true to the “2 hours” before your flight which no other lounge had ever stopped me before for that. So little frustrating given how long my layover was before my flight to Spain. The food wasn’t bad not a true entree of hot foods and the cappuccino machine was down for mostOfThe time I was there. Bartender was in and out also the bar isn’t self served. Would I make the trip out of my terminal for it again? Maybe not. Unless the food was upgraded I’d treat this as any other lounge with a more pleasant view and space for stretching out. 3-4/5.
Already a waitlist at 8am due to capacity issues. No sign of how busy it really was in the lounge, but I was #5 in the virtual queue at 8am. Also, if you’re using priority pass, you cannot use it if you are more than 2 hours before your flight. Even if you’re in the waitlist ahead of others, if their flight departure is less than 2 hours away they will get in ahead of you. I noticed this issue after a few parties that arrived after me were called in. The host then informed me of this restriction on priority pass. ??
Clean, bright, modern, comfortable, lots of seating, work spaces, and outlets. Food well displayed, fresh, plenty of choices. Enjoyed a great salad bar. Courteous and efficient staff. Appreciated the availability of a gender neutral bathroom. Had been difficult to find elsewhere in NYC.
Barista station closed, one worker to manage the bar, cleaning, and refilling. Another worker in the back preparing food. 10-11am on a Sunday.
I find it surprising so many negative low star reviews as this lounge compared to many others across the nation is very nice. It is small and yes options are limited due to that but service and cleanliness is spot on. The espresso bar is a good touch
One of the better and spacious lounges (domestic USA airport terminals) offered via priority pass. And good salad and coffee options. Local beers too at the bar, which is cool. For a request to change the channel on the tv, one staff didn’t know how to and was complacent with not knowing, and also wouldn’t inquire with other staff until asked to do so. And the other staff refused, saying “they don’t let us change the channels.” Meanwhile, the remote sits on shelf right below the tv behind the bar. There’s no enthusiasm for any part of the job done by staff here, you’ll have to find a staff member and chase them down to request arrive for the bar. But they’ll be right there if you’re discovered to not wearing a mask in the right spot.If I weren’t getting into this lounge for free or if it didn’t provide good cold beers, I’d instead arrive closer to departure time and skip this place.Oh, and again, don’t forget your mask when you stand up out of your chair. They’ll give you attention right away for that!2 stars instead of 1, because of short staffing excuse.
Staff was 5 star... very friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and relaxing. I've never been to a lounge where you have to pay for (most of) the hot food. I feel sorry for anyone who paid for a day pass. No complementary HOT vegetarian options. Sad times. But then happy times because free bourbon.
One of the worst lounge by Alaska. The customer service is terrible. We are both priority pass member and Alaska MVP card member and the guy at the front told us the lounge is full. We came in at 6 am on a Monday. Alaska only has 1 flight in the next 2 hours. How could the lounge be so full this early.
It is smaller than the one in SeaTac airport. Food options are limited. Seating is also limited. Lounge could be cleaner. Restroom was not clean. They accept priority pass.
If you're using priority pass to check into the lounge, don't make the extra effort. They obviously don't want priority pass members to come, probably because priority pass isn't paying them enough. Is it worth it to pay a day pass? No.I had a 3.5 hr layover from terminal 5 and made my way to terminal 7, and was told by the front desk they don't allow priority pass members in until 2 hrs prior to departure. I came back during the time frame only to find that they put a sign up stating priority pass members had to scan a QR code (which wasn't working) and had a 45 minute wait. Luckily the other front desk person (not Jeffrey) remembered who I was and was able to let me in.There was barely any food items left. Just 1 soup selection, cookies, salad, pretzel and the hot chocolate machine wasn't working.Tldr; worse lounge ever, don't waste your time
