The hotel was great; the room type I requested was not available so I received a room with a view of the parking area. This was disappointing as I had requested a campus view. When I checked in I was informed that those views had been taken up by the prior day check ins. The hotel was also lacking some onsite amenities like a coffee shop/casual dining that was open on the weekends. I found this odd, as again the hotel was 100% booked for the weekend.
The hotel was clean, well equipped, and with attentive staff. Great location on campus. A little pricey, but that seems to be the norm in Ithaca. Ate at Taverna Banfi- excellent food. Overall, highly recommended
Very friendly & helpful staff. The food is amazing. Enjoyed the comfortable rooms. The wifi was very fast. The hotel had a great atmosphere. Be sure to walk the trails as they are amazing. You see many sights of nature on your walk.
Everything at Terrace is great, my personal favorites are the orange chicken burritos and the gyro station. I’ve been here at least 60 times and it’s one of my favorite spots on campus.
Was visiting the campus in April 2022 so we wanted to stay at the Stadler Hotel: can't beat the convenience of being on campus. The hotel is fine--nothing notable, but still okay--and the rooms are tasteful albeit small. We had a pretty dismal view of a rooftop that obscured anything but the tips of some spires, but we liked the Cornell-themed bedding (and the beds were quite comfortable--we slept well after a red-eye that morning!). That said, there were some gaps. The valet was hit and miss--I feel for them, as the cars are pretty far away, but sometimes the wait was longer than promised even despite scanning in the QR code in advance. The bar was spotty but fine for a quick beer. Check-in was not super-pleasant, but the check-out staff was very kind. I have read these are all students, so I understand the variance of customer service. But for these prices, I'd just expect a little bit more consistency in the delivery.
The Statler is a lovely property centrally located in the heart of the Cornell campus. Beautiful facility, upscale rooms and a wonderful team of student and non-student staff. The best place to stay in Ithaca!
Superb hotel. Staff solicitous and kind. Very convenient place to visit Cornell. Comfortable and clean. Very happy with the choice. Rooms are small but adequate. Sheets are awesome. Very accommodating.
My husband and my oldest son and I came here to visit my youngest son who's attending college here. We came to visit and to celebrate his birthday. Our room was really large. All the staff were amazing and very helpful. They had a really nice restaurant down stairs and eat there for dinner twice. We were told that they had a good bunch here..but we didn't get to try thier brunch because we didn't know about it until the night before we were checking out but will do it next time we come back. The furniture could use a little updating. But overall we had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this place.
The Statler Hotel and Ithaca were an absolute surprise in beauty and fine accommodations. I have stayed in some of the finest hotels in the US and Canada and the Statler rivals all of them. Can't wait to go back. This is a value for the money.
I love TERRACEEE. I’m so addicted. The Pho and rice noodle bowls are so good. I also love the gyro, I went through a serious phase but mostly got the rice noodle bowls. People live the burrito bowls there too.
