Was on vacation in area and wanted to eat on the waterfront, found this place, parking was full but once we got in got an outdoor table right away, service and food was both great!

We didn't eat here but it smelled delicious. We stopped here to sit by the water with a cocktail. The location can't be beat and we couldn't find any other comparable restaurants on the water. The place is huge but they recommend calling ahead to get on the list. They don't take reservations. Nice bar inside and a decent happy hour.

Great location on the southern end of Cayuga Lake, adjacent to the Cornell University and Ithaca College rowing centers. Use the call-ahead seating phone # for a more timely dinner. Food was excellent and service as well. Eating outdoors in the summertime is a pleasure and so much more at The Boatyard Grill.

Disappointed. We had a 20 min wait which we expected but couldn’t get served at the bar. When we got to our table the waiter was very attentive but apologized twice that it was taking so long to get our drinks. My husband was given a special menu listing prime rib - they didn’t have any. Then the food took awhile as well and then was nothing special for the price $$. The fish tacos shells were dry and my Parmesan salmon was okay. It had too much red sauce and didn’t taste or see any “Parmesan crusted” cheese. It came with a pile of greens with no dressing. We had attempted to go here before but the wait was an hour so anticipated something really good. Definitely will check this off our list for next visit to the area.

This was our 3rd trip to the Finger Lakes. Had to come back (2X) on this trip to enjoy the Boatyard. We enjoyed taking our bottle of wine before dinner out to the adirondack chairs and relaxing with the gorgeous view. The food is always yummy here. The first waitress was average but then we had MARK as our waiter. He was superb! We tried the salmon, steaks, cod and, of course, the sizzling cookie. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the Finger Lakes and I hope we will be served once again by Mark.

Located on the water. Nice place but felt a little like a big chain restaurant. Menu was nothing to brag about but good for burgers and such. The food was good but noting to write home about. I ordered fish and it was rather bland.

We had a bit of a wait, but we spent it looking out at the lake from huge white Adirondack chairs, sipping the most yummy cocktails I've had in a very long time. (I highly recommend the Strawberry Moscow Mule.) Once seated, we were greeted by our super kind server, Kim, who had a great personality and made us feel right at home. I had the peach chicken dish that was to die for. It was a great experience!

I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at the Boatyard Grill. We chose it because it was on the water. We were prepared to sacrifice on food and menu excellence in order to enjoy the view. It turns out the food was fabulous!. The staff was very friendly. We truly enjoyed our dinner. As we did not have a reservation, we arrived early (at5 pm) and were able to be seated immediately. Great options in Ithaca!

Great location overlooking the water if you can sit outside. Staff v friendly, multiple options on the menu, diners I was with enjoyed their meals, my starter - calamari was excellent however my main ‘fish & chips’ without batter on the dry side….

This is a wonderful place to eat dinner. This is a return visit 19 years past our last one. Still great! We were seated on the deck. My appetizer was onion soup. For a main course, I had shrimp stuffed with scallop and crabmeat. The cream sauce was delicious. My husband had a mixed green salad and he thought the balsamic vinaigrette was fabulous. He had a small plate of blackened salmon for a main course snd it was well prepared and delicious.
