Japanese Sushi Bar Szechuan

Excellent prices on Sashimi and Sushi. The Tempura appetizers were really good. No alchohol served but the tea was good. Service prompt and courteous. Lot's of takeout and delivery, very busy. Inside dining still not fully recovered from COVID19 but pleasant and nice to dine in.

Definitely one of the best spots for Chinese cuisine in Ithaca. They have two menu options, both Chinese and Japanese. Always make sure to suggest your spice levels for you order as I've always tasted their food a little bit too spicy. I'm a huge fan of their dried beef with scehwan ?. It's not too crowded which makes it a good place to relax and have some great food. Make sure to access their free salad bar as well.

Basically a Chinese restaurant disguised as a Japanese one! Make sure to ask for the Chinese menu with pics (which also has cheaper prices than the Japanese menu).Everyone friendly, karaoke is available. Only thing is they charge 3-4% for using a card which is a big shame. Not a fan of costs being blatantly passed onto the customer

Sushi is better than anything else you’ll find in Ithaca: not NYC quality, but we can’t compare apples to oranges. Nice atmosphere and good service.

The Sichuan bbq fish was literally the most amazing food I’ve ever eaten. A truly incredible, uniquely delicious dish. The sushi was good, service was nice.

Worst dining experience ever. I went for lunch Saturday around 12.30 p.m. on February 19th, 2022. My server, Chang Jiang ignored my table since I dined alone. She continued to refill water glasses for all tables around me , skipping my table completely. Diners who came in after me got their orders, while I waited for over a half hour and never got my salad that comes with lunch. I ordered the filet mignon hibachi lunch special that is listed for $12.95 . After not receiving nothing but the soup by 2 p.m., I finally got up and told my server to just bill me for the soup. She said oh it’s almost ready . I told her I to just get it to go. When I finally got my lunch to go , the order was wrong. There was no dipping sauce with the order and no fried rice that I had ordered. She did replace the plain rice for fried rice, but told me they no longer serve dipping sauce, but other diners had it on their tables. The final kicker was when I got the bill . I paid cash to avoid their 3/1/2% service charge, but was charged this fee anyway and the menu price for my entree was billed for $14.95, not the menu price of $12.95. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects a pleasant dining experience.

Go across the street or most anywhere else. We ordered sushi. The fish was not quite fresh. My standard tuna roll was bigger than the $11.00 roll. Tuna roll and nigiri were 2/3 the size of most sushi restaurants. Salad had 1/8" water at teh bottom of the dish. Staff were less than welcoming. I won't be back.

This is the worst place. They tell you to call them order is wrong. The hostess ignores you when you ask to check on order. They tell you 39 minutes and it takes 60. They tell you to use the app then you do and when you show up the app “doesn’t work” and your order is not there. Avoid at all costs. This is a horrible place with horrible management. Unless you are Chinese - then everything is fine. And unsanitary conditions are of course an issue also. Health department should definitely visit

This food gave me depression. Free food was included though.

It was insanely busy. Service was decent. We went for a girls night, so we didnt mind waiting cause we were laughing and enjoying our time. However, for the 35 min wait on hot tea and to get it ... kinda warm was a little irritating. The food was amazing and we truly enjoyed our time there.
