This restaurant is perfect for celebrating special occasions with your friends. The restaurants specialty is tapas which you can share amongst your friends. The service was good, and while I did not imbibe, my friends thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails. When I come back to Ithaca, which will be 1 year, 4 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days from now, I'll be back!!!
There are quite a few places to eat in downtown Ithaca, but Mia's was probably our favorite. The menu had a lot of diverse flavors and everything was fantastic!
Delicious food, great atmosphere. The chocolate vegan truffle tart was AMAZING.
This is a great spot in downtown Ithaca. There were so many good choices on the menu that we struggled to narrow down what to order. A great problem to have. Everything tasted fabulous. I love trying interesting and different food, and this met that need perfectly.
Host was extremely rude, did not even let me ask if there was availability to eat inside. Just said “no” without me finishing my sentence. The fact that your business has replied stating a conversation that did not happen just proves my point. I told the host that it was okay to wait 30 minutes to an hour for seating if we needed to. He did not want to seat us. Host didn’t give any options to wait for seating, even had my mother come in after me because he was so rude. We already knew it was graduation weekend and Memorial Day. Simply, you made more than one customer unhappy.
Firstly, huge shoutout to the waiter wearing glasses as he was extremely courteous and helpful. We ordered a bunch of appetizers ( such as the roast duck puff pastry & mussels) and they were all great. It is definitely one of the better restaurants in Ithaca. Also, great prices for sure. We ordered a ton of food and it came out to a very reasonable price. Would come back again.
Great food. But come on guys. You gotta wash your dishes and utensils properly! I didn't order the curry bits stuck on my plate or the sticky rice stuck on my glass from the previous diners.
Really lovely restaurant. Delicious soups, curries, noodles, and desserts. Lot of vegan options. Fresh ingredients and friendly service. Tasty drinks. It’s places like Mia that make Ithaca so special.
Used to live in Ithaca and have enjoyed Mia many times. Brought my family here last weekend because of my memories of amazing food. That ended up being accurate, but the service from Will was extremely inappropriate. He was annoyed from the start - eye rolling, saying "whatever" and storming off if we didn't make a decision quick enough. The automatic 18% gratuity added at the night was frustrating but clearly Will knew all about it. My sister disclosed her allergies (like he asked us to do) and when her first choice was iffy she asked for his opinion. His response was "I don't know, you should just get something else". Clearly it's a rough time for all workers right now, but that doesn't justify how he acted. We will likely pick a different restaurant next time.
Recommended for their excellent food. No disappointments there. Only gets two stars because I did not see egg rolls on the menu, however our server, Will K, was serving eye rolls, free of charge. He must have saw our party of 6 coming a mile away and thought that he could act however he wanted as he could automatically add an 18% gratuity to the bill. After reading numerous reviews on Mia after the fact it appears service is not something that this restaurant takes pride in. Not sure what we did to upset Will K but I hope he has a better day. Every time I come to Ithaca it is worse than the last, and the pretentious attitude Will K presented at our table solidified my decision to never return.
