I grew up in Buffalo, NY with so many incredible restaurants: Just Pasta, Siena, Fanny’s, San Marco and Left Bank just to name a few. Relocated our family to Raleigh, NC in 2006 and haven’t found a single restaurant to call “our own”.Dropped our youngest off at Cornell University today and stumbled upon Mercato for dinner. Only took one evening back in NY to discover an incredible spot. Lindsay and Gary have “it” in Ithaca. This is what you envision when you go out to eat, an experience.Thank you for an incredible meal. Love the passion!See y’all soon and cheersGrappaTR

The chicken piccata is amazing, just like the northern Italians make it, unbelievable! Absolutely fantastic, get there soon, or you miss out. Highly recommended.

This is the best restaurant in Ithaca. There isn’t really any comparison, to be honest. The people who have written negative reviews are a bunch of Karens. They don’t know what they’re talking about. The service is great, cocktails are superb, and the food is delicious, using simple and high quality ingredients. Everything is homemade and done right. Get the pot de crème.

Great food! We enjoyed everything from the soup to the main course and the dessert! Parfait parfait!

Was told about Mercato from local. Great experience and highly recommend. Great food, wine selection and service. The scallops and Calamari are to die for.

Dinner was good quality and restaurant is cute.Leaving 3 stars because the customer service was not ideal. We ordered a $48 bottle of wine for the table and the waiter mistakenly brought an $80 one. I specifically pointed and said out-loud the name of the wine that I wanted for clarity. I only realized the confusion at the time of the check. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she didn’t adjust it or even apologize. Given that the table drank the bottle I was ok with paying for the product but as a customer I’d have appreciated an apology for the misunderstanding. So although food is good, the customer service experience was disappointing, not coming back.

Went for my birthday dinner and feel so blessed to have been able to eat here! Our food was absolutely delicious and our server, Yxi, was so attentive and sweet. The house made bread was to die for. Would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat to anyone visiting the area. Make sure to get there early because there will be a wait time but it is so worth it.

If I could give 8 stars out of 5 I would. I'm taken away how great the food is from such a small kitchen. I really wished I lived closer to enjoy this food minimal 4x a month. The service at the bar was great and very involved. The food was out of this world. The soup was full of flavor. The main dish was also full of great flavor, the sides were great. The beer selection was a bit low but made up in drink availability. If any one reads this, yes it's worth every penny!!

Great food, service, and space!

Some of the beat food and drinks I've had in the last year. Server was awesome. Thanks for an amazing birthday dinner!
