The food is 5 but service is 3. I feel sorry for the poor guy who basically runs the entire dining area by himself. Which means it takes 10 minutes to be seated, 5min for water and another 5min for silverware... He is very kind and helpful but please, owner, get extra crew to help him!!The food is great and has generous portions considering the price. Look at the Korean fried chicken wings - they are HUGE!! Budae Jjigae and spicy fried squid are delicious, too. They are not parsimonious to add the meat.

We waited for 10 minutes until some one acknowledged our existence, waited another 5 minutes until they spoke to us only to find out that it would be a 10 minute wait, and during all of that, one of us had to use the restroom which didn't have any toilet paper, so they talked to an employee which told them it had the paper and to figure it out themselves. Didn't eat there, and I wouldn't care what the food tasted like. You don't treat your guests like that.

Incredible! Prior to Kimchi opening, I couldn’t find this quality of Korean food outside of NYC/Flushing. Everything that we ordered was absolutely phenomenal. And it’s easily at the level of some of the best Korean restaurants in the city. We’ll certainly be back frequently. This has become one of my “must-visit” Ithaca restaurants. Highly recommended.

it was pretty good, clean environment and speedy service. the takoyaki was so super tasty but the jjajjangmyun was veeeery salty though. my only criticism would be of that dish but otherwise, great place to dine at!

Good food, good service!Recommend this restaurant to change the chopsticks. As a person who uses chopsticks the entire life, it’s hard for me to use the “flat” chopsticks here ;)

It was my mom's birthday and they treated her well. Food and service was very good.

Amazing food! And great environment

The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and provided great service. We ordered the bento box, jajangmyeon (black bean noodle dish) and we shared the beef bulgogi (Korean bbq). Our dishes came with lovely sides such as, soybean paste stew, miso soup, kimchi (so good), radish, bean sprouts, egg custard, and rice!

Nice variety of authentic Korean food options. They had a great gimbap menu when they opened but it seems to have disappeared. The combination boxes and fried chicken are both great, though.

I’ve eaten Korean food in many places. This is the best I’ve ever had. So fresh and light. The Dumplings were fantastic. The staff was friendly and welcoming. If I make it back to Ithaca it might be just to come back here!
