After spending some time shopping on the Ithaca Commons, we stopped for lunch at the Ithaca Ale House. What a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent, the food selection was very good and the beverage menu was ample. We enjoyed a wonderful flat bread and the local beer and wine. Very clean and wonderful atmosphere!
Great casual comfy place with great food and beer as well as wines. Outdoor seating available. Nice bar seating and communal high top tables.
Our small group enjoyed our meals after about a 20-minute wait for a table. One in our group was a little disappointed by his portion size. Some tables looked to be open, but I guess they were not using all of them due to staffing issues. Service was a little slow, and our server came by only rarely (seemed to have a lot of tables to take care of) but fortunately we didn't need him much and we were not in any rush. It was a little strange to have a fire alarm going off with no one (staff or customers) acknowledging it. Overall a decent meal but a little overpriced for what we got.
Great food and big portions!
I ate here multiple times at their old location but this was my first time in the new building. The space is very nice. The menu was similar. The burgers/flatbread my group had were still good but we were a bit let down by the changes to the pub fries starter - it used to be a must order item for us but I would probably try something new next time
Excellent service. Very clean. Above average beer selection. Terrible music coming over the speakers that gave it that cheesy, squeaky clean, yuppie vibe. Parking isn't great, either. I'd definitely go back but wanted to give an honest review.
Great place to relax and eat
A nice place to unwind and hang out and socialize. I had ordered a Yeungling Hershey's chocolate porter and a side of Pub fries which were absolutely amazing. The fries come with three dips and fries themselves have a seasoning on them which make them super scrumptious. Both the items are a definite recommend if you find yourselves in the Ithaca Ale House!
Food was good. There was a nice selection of beer as well. The staff was nice and the aesthetic was great. I ordered a flat bread thinking it would be a flat bread but it was a mini pizza instead, but that's just my jersey expectation :)
I visited twice during my visit to the area, first visit was just a flat bread and drink and was delicious and didn't seem too expensive! 2nd visit was aloy more expensive. Yes I did order a couple of things to take away but $16 for the wings is a bit much for 6 and then let's talk about the carrot cake! $12 !! I initially thought with normal American portion sizes it'd be OK and could feed a couple of us or last a few days but, no. It was tiny! And with the minimum amount of ice cream. I attached a picture with the TV remote as a reference. Stick to the flat bread. That's worth the money.
