The views of the lake are a nice background while enjoying the food at this location! We have been twice now and the food is great. We ordered the marinated chicken sandwich and buffalo boneless wings! Food comes out quickly and seems to be a good portion for the price that we paid! The staff are also friendly and easy to take orders with! Will continue to enjoy the food here.
Get out of the chain eateries and check in to this local spot. Ordered the burgers...they'll remind you of a good cookout! They are good. There is a full bar so you can get adult drinks, but this place is also family friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the lake.
Glenwood Pines has adapted nicely during the past couple of years. They have a "new" model of ordering your food and drinks at the bar. The time given to return to pick up your food is very accurate, ours was 25 minutes. We both had the classic Pines burger, jalapeno poppers, and Korean BBQ wings all very tasty. They have nice seating indoors with a lower level game room and more TVs. Outside are several picnic tables with a wonderful view of the lake. I spoke with the owner, a very nice gentleman, who says he started this model during the pandemic and found it helps meet the needs of his customers and the challenge of having enough staff. Be sure to check it out when you are in the area.
The only thing missing is the drive up window! Going out for a bite to eat takes on a whole new meaning in the newly “un vamped” GWPines! No service! Food is served in to go containers wait, not served “ come back to the bar in 15 minutes to see if your bagged dinner is ready! Could I just have a paper plate, please? Nope, eat out our your to go container and like it! Not only that….. the food isn’t the quality I remember. What a shame…..
I love the Glenwood Pines. The best burgers, French fries, and onion rings. If you are in Ithaca, I highly recommend you stop here. The staff is wonderful and really cares about everyone having a great experience. I always enjoy going here. There are lots of tables outside as well for those who want to social distance. The views of the lake are spectacular, and you can’t beat the food here. Great food, great prices, and a wonderful and kind staff.
Nice location with plenty of parking and a beautiful view! Friendly, fast service with good bar style food & drinks! Order and seat yourself or take out. Fun game room on the lower level!
Classic! One of Ithaca's best open secrets. They're currently just doing take out from the bar, but you can grab a table and done in that way. Always consistently good. They have a smaller menu than some other places in the area, but they do what they do well.
What a cool place, and this was in March! Very funky food, including kegs (huge tater tots stuffed with chives and cheese) and a peanut butter jelly burger!Shuffleboard, arcade games, and a cozy fire. Fun, great service, and I imagine it gets even better in the summer.
Definitely down hill since a few years ago. Buget was o.k. , lack of veggies , had to ask for more, very small order of fries. One burger was cold , was told to order it more well done if you want it hot , LOL
It's okay, burger was hard. You walk in order at the bar then wait to go back to the bar and pick up your food and that's in to go containers. Girl wasn't overly nice.
