Loved their tacos but the menu is quite limited. We got chicken tacos and they were delicious. Good salsa bar too. The 18% service charge on the bill was very confusing. The waitress said it was because the restaurant wants to pay a living wage. That's great, but why put that on the customers who are already asked to leave a tip? I love when folks think different but this was confusing or perhaps the explanation was deficient.
Really great Mexican food in Ithaca! Loved all their delicious homemade salsas and guac. Enchiladas were hot, cheesy, crispy and delicious. Service was excellent. The automatic 18% gratuity at the end is a little awkward, especially when they say you can tip more and you have to do it in front of them. I always tip 20%+ for a good meal, but others at my table didn’t like the policy. I think they could do without it.
Please add the vegan sweet potatoes black bean Taco platter on the regular menu! So delicious! Couldn't find any good vegan food in this town until I randomly asked to see the menu here. It was so filling with the half off guac for the two of us!! Would definitely go back. Vegan tacos!
We just had a dinner here after my friend’s graduation… the food is good and fast served… the waitress was really professional and friendly…
The hostess was very helpful seating our party of 4. Our server was was courteous. However the Chicken Enchiladas I ordered arrived a few degrees above room temperature. I sent it back to be heated. After 10 minutes it arrived warm. I decided to eat it that way.I have eaten Enchiladas in many restaurants many times in Mexico, San Francisco, NYC, and know how they should and can taste when properly prepared. This meal was awful. I couldn’t find the chicken. The tortillas were thick and soggy. The cheese that thickly covered everything was stringy and tasteless. I’m not sure if it was cheese at all. The black beans were tasteless and the rice tasted as if it came out of a can.I asked to see the manager who gave me a 3rd degree interrogation before she offered to split the cost of the dish, she never apologized.
If you are looking for the best tacos in Ithaca or most of New York this is the place to go. Everything in the restaurant taste as of it was made from scratch everytime you go in. From the tacos to the sides you can tell in every bite that they put alot of love in what they do. The drinks are fantastic you want to try them all. The staff are hard working passionate people.they all seemed to work together and help each other. The restaurant itself looks great and has a nice atmosphere. Next time I'm in Ithaca it's definitely the place I'm going before I leave.
WAYYYY overpriced and then some.....We had dinner recently. The food is good but not exceptional. Pretty expensive for 3 tacos. On top of that, they clearly state at the top of the menu...An 18% service charge will be added to each order. This allows us to significantly increase the base wages of both front ANDback of house employees. Additional tips for outstanding service will godirectly to your server. They are greatly appreciated but not expected. So, you are forced to pay 18% on top of already overpriced food, and then guilted into tipping your waiter. Just raise the prices of the food.
I am a happy regular - margaritas are the best in town, and the food is to DIE for. Small but well varied menu. The potato poblano tacos or quesadilla is my favorite. I bring everyone here, first dates, visiting family and friends, and just swing by for a bite after work regularly. Service is always fast and friendly. Food is reliably well prepared. Absolutely recommend!!!
Wonderful food, great drinks. They have one item on the menu (different flavors) and do it well!
Really good food! Menu is limited, but what they make they do really well. I was underwhelmed by the rice and beans they served as a side (kind of bland), but the chicken enchiladas were filling enough that it didn't matter. My husband tried the 3 taco platter and really enjoyed that as well, his favorite was the shrimp taco.
