Wow! What a wonderful place to stay! The room was spacious with a great bed and bathroom. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic- close to restaurants (Simeon!) and a waterfall hike. I can’t wait to go back!

We were in Ithaca for a wedding and after the wedding we stayed for three additional nights. We changed hotels (from the wedding venue) so we could experience another Ithaca offering and be more centrally located. We were so glad we did! The Argos is a special, unique spot with so many comforts. It is an old building and has been renovated with a very loving, competent eye. Our room was very comfortable, attractive, very clean and quiet. After tramping around Ithaca we could come back, sip a chilled glass of wine in the lovely bar (with a velvet loveseat that matched the very nice sparkling rose), do some research on the big, beautiful oak table in the screened solarium or just chill out with a book in one of several attractive nooks. It is one block from CTB (College Town Bagles) and other food options, is in a great location for walkability and has easy, free parking. I can't forget to mention the very thoughtful service! Just a lovely experience

Our daughter goes to school in Ithaca and we stay at the Argos whenever we visit. We love it! Beautiful, unique rooms with heated floors in the bathroom. We really enjoy a really cool bar. The coffee machine in the Solarium is awesome. We will miss our times there as graduation is this year.

The Argos Inn is a fantastic property in Ithaca, offering cute, individual rooms in an old building that is full of period furniture, nick-nacks, books and games. There is a lovely lounge bar downstairs which was closed due to COVID when we were there, but would be a great place to hang out normally. There’s also a very nice sun-room to enjoy a (free) coffee during the day, and a nice “bohemian” bar just across the car-park.

Stayed 2 nights at the Argos Inn and had a beautiful time. Our room was on the 3rd floor- a bit of a hike up the twisting stairs- but it was worth it. The room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable, the AC was in our control, great shower, quiet. The common areas are fabulous! I wish I had gone away with another couple or two as the areas are very welcoming to hang out and enjoy. I hosted a party right next door at the Warehouse which was also terrific. The staff was great. i have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend a stay at the Inn and hosting an event at the warehouse.

My husband I stayed here for a night during a Cayuga Wine Trail trip. Because we were a “last minute booking” we booked at a cheaper rate (approx $30 less). The hotel is beautifully decorated with an upscale, vintage/hip vibe. Our room (212) was very spacious & clean, and the king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was overlooking a busy street, so we did have have deal with traffic noise from time to time, but with a white noise app we were able to make it manageable. The room didn’t come with a coffee maker but free coffee, tea, etc was provided on the main floor. The staff was friendly & quickly brought us an iron to use during our stay. The location is great, as it is only a short walk to the downtown center for shopping/restaurants. Unfortunately the Argos Inn bar was still closed due to COVID, but we enjoyed drinks at the Argos Warehouse next door. (We highly recommend all visitors stop by). There is also a nice seating outdoor area between the hotel & Warehouse, which I’m sure is a popular feature during warmer months. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend to others.

The hotel is lovingly decorated. The bed was comfortable. Guests are pampered with free teas, delicious coffees and cookies. It was so nice, I wanted to spend more time there. Small complaints: Our room was a bit noisy at night and the pillows were too firm.

Argos looked great – until we actually stayed there. Read carefully before you book. “Room overlooking the patio” means that your window looks directly into diners’ and drinkers’ eyes just outside your room. Argos is decorated with style, while lacking in design for usefulness in how guests stay comfortably. We need more than one hanger each, for example, a place to rest the hair dryer beyond the sink (yikes), and towels which are not cardboard scratchy and worn out.

This is our third time back to the Argos Inn, and we would never stay anywhere else in Ithaca if we could help it. The rooms are clean and modernized but have a wonderful charm to them. Each one is different, with tasteful art and antiques. They have done an excellent job during Covid to keep everyone safe, offering free coffee downstairs, and water and coffee in the room. The staff is always helpful, and the place is always spotless.

should allow parking for all guests not just overnight.
