Tried the new menu and it was delicious. Great place to wind down the weekend on a Sunday evening with some great food!
The service, food and cocktails are all excellent. I want to give this place five stars. But as an industry professional, I need to provide some feedback that might be helpful. First, the music. When we were there, it was a loud, heavy-metal playlist - something that doesn't really fit with the aesthetic and vibe of this hip, Peruvian spot, and isn't conducive to a dining experience.Second, we couldn't escape the sounds of a group of women in the front bar who were cackling, laughing/screaming so loudly, that we heard them all the way in the back dining room. This was a big distraction from a pleasant birthday dinner. I would hope management can somehow communicate to guests that they're not entitled to act anyway they want without considering those around them.We'll be back, and hopefully, have a milder, kinder experience with some amazing dishes, prepared beautifully by a wonderful staff.
This was my 2nd time dining at The Last Word. This time I was more adventurous and shared plates with my party. Iâm so glad I did! The menu isnât extensive, but itâs impressive. I encourage you to try things you wouldnât normally. You wonât regret it. And make sure to order a cocktail from Joe! Amazing!

we were so looking forward to experience TLW after seeing their tapas and cocktail menu. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The restaurant has a lovely interior and nice atrium like room in the back which we ate in yesterday Fathers Day. they must have misjuged staffing as there was only one waiter on yesterday. WE didnt mind the waiting but if we had someplace to go afterwards it would have been an issue. That said our waiter was very informative but definitely overworked Weve had many "craft cocktails" in the past. Two out of four of us had just OK drinks. (Discalimer we like to taste the flavors in food) The apps were ok however the tomato salad was lackluster and ceviche ok but pricey for the portion. The tostone sliders were good but meat could have used more seasoning. My salmon over risotto, salmon perfectly cooked but risotto bland, slice steak small portion and not very tasty and the arroz con chorizo (with chicken instead )was too salty from the soy sauce.. we really wanted to love it but sorry to say it fell short
Amazing food... (ordered the shrimp ceviche, tostones sliders, lomita skirt steak, papa rellenos) Amazing cocktails (different from what I am used to, but still very good) Amazing service (staff is attentive, manager/owner constantly came around to check on us, waitress was very sweet and great at making recommendations)

Cocktails were excellent as was ceviche. Our entrees were very good as well. Will definitely return.
This is, by far, the best place for cocktails on Long Island. Thr bartender/owner is a vet of Bathtub Gin, and the cocktails are absolutely world class. To top it off, the Peruvian cuisine is excellent. We've gone about 5 times, and will absolutely be going back again and again.
