One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Excellent food, good portions and moderate prices. Lunch specials are a bit hit!
Portofino has been my favorite place to grab a slice of pizza in Huntington for a number of years now. Pizza is always great and the few times I've sat down for dinner in the restaurant portion the pasta has been great with very generous portions. The last few times I've stopped in, the guy working the counter at the front has seemed a bit rude, kind of like he doesn't want to be there. Otherwise, experiences have always been great.
I love their pizza but everytime I order a specialty pie, I’m told it’s 30 min….. everytime it’s more like 50-60 min. Just inconvenient when the parking is terrible and you don’t have the time to wait an extra 30 min.
The food is amazing. We come in pretty often for sit down and tonight we decided to get delivery. The food was excellent. The girl on the phone was so sweet and took out order flawlessly. The delivery driver, Youseff was quick and so nice. He told us they have another pizzeria in East Northport, we will definitely try that out soon too. Phenomenal.
I went with 5 friends and all of our dishes were delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend and we will definitely go back!
My family and I have visited Portofino several times over the years and the food was always good. Tonight we went with another family and the food was not as good as it has been in the past. I ordered linguine with clam sauce. The pasta was perfect but a note to the chef, don’t ever serve this dish with clams that are the same size as what you would use for baked clams. This dish should have had “little necks,” not “cherry stones.” They were extremely tough to chew. A friend had the chicken Milanese an the salad looked pretty sad. Don’t even get me started about the surcharge they add to your bill if you use a credit card.
Very poor customer service. Check out Rosas pizza down the street. Much more professional staff.In response. I never placed delivery order. I picked up takeout for my office 2 times and both times your staff was nasty on the phone. Spoke to guy at register about it and he rolled his eyes. Some restaurants just don’t get it.
I love Portofino, the food is always delicious, and the portions are great. I absolutely adore the entire staff there. They have all been working so hard during this pandemic while short staffed, and I honestly could never do what they do. The restaurant industry has been hit really hard these last few years and getting good staff is so hard. The entire staff there from the counter people to the wait staff are always amazing and friendly. They have done their absolute best keeping prices down when their costs are skyrocketing without cutting the quality or portions of the food. Yes, there is now a fee for using a CC and there is a sign clearly posted by the register saying this. I have to say almost all of the vendors in my business are charging a CC now fee too. If you want a great Italian dinner in a lovely restaurant with an amazing and friendly staff do you self a favor and go to Portofino!
My husband and I have eaten here several times and the food was always good. We were in the area recently and decided we wanted to go for some good Italian food . Sorry to say it was nothing like we had experienced in the past . The food was good but the service was not what it used to be , except for of one of the bus boys he was very attentive and courteous. When it came time to pay the check there was a convenience fee that was not listed anywhere . It would have been responsible to have it posted so there wasn’t a surprise when paying the check.
Pizza was terrible tasted like the cheese or pepperoni was turning. Went home & was up sick half the night. Go somewhere else for Italian.
