Had lunch at 1pm the other day. Nice place with good food and friendly service??Not crowded at all. While other venues in area had long waits. But $9 for a pint of beer ?!! ? ???I have no problems with trying to survive Covid, but that’s a bit much $.Lower prices might bring in the crowds!

Had St Patricks Day dinner here. It was horrible. The corn beef and cabbage was not edible and the chicken pot pie was any thing but that. Go for drinks, stay away from the food.

Owner is a disgusting, abusive and violent animal. He threatened me and called me despicable appellations. Be very careful eating here. If you do eat here, do not complain and above all do not return your meal otherwise you will meet the owner and he will treat you aggressively with vulgarity while displaying a terrorising vicious attitude intimidating physical harm..

I wish Zero stars was an option…..came after the Huntington St Patricks Day Parade and got bad food and racial discrimination. Pre-COVID was bad but we figured one last chance as it’s been 2 years. Place was vary lightly crowded, we sat and ate/drank. Drinks were small and the food was really mediocre….nothing like it used to be. As the nice waitress took our CC to close the bill, this nasty little woman came over and started to dress us down how we were rude to be sitting here as many people were waiting for a table. I said we were waiting for our CC back and had been there 35 minutes with a $110 check plus tax. She kept going on and on, even when I pointed out the tables on either side of us were empty. The waitress came back and shooed her…then she came back and tried to convince me she wasn’t being rude? When I mentioned Id call the owner Monday, she offered to go get him. After 20 minutes she never came back….so we left and will never go back Meehan’s is in insult to the Irish and our hospitality. I wonder if I was white and my wife wasn’t Spanish if this would have heppened??

I'm compelled to share this review in order to caution perspective diners who may consider selecting Meehan's as their choice of restaurants while visiting Huntington village. My wife and I had decided to stop in for lunch after doing some shopping as we like to help local businesses when possible so we enjoy the smaller mom and pop stores that can be found throughout. While we're frequent visitors to the town and live nearby, we try making a day of it and usually grabbing a bite to eat. I ordered a typical Reuben sandwich and my wife had the tossed salad with chicken. The meal itself was satisfactory though ordinary and the service was pleasant right up until the check arrived.Nowhere on their menu was there any mention of draft beer or price's and the waitress was unfamiliar with the selection available. We ordered a pitcher of Budweiser Light assuming it would be common enough to ensure it was likely on tap. We ordered a second pitcher afterward and when finished asked for the bill.It wasn't until I had a closer look that I saw they were charging us $32.00 per pitcher for a total of $64.00 for the two. Being the charge was more than half the bill, my immediate thought was they had made a mistake so I called the waitress back over to question the calculation. She assured me there wasn't a mistake and that was the price so naturally I asked to speak with her manager to verify. Please understand, when we go out to five star restaurants and Michelin rated establishments, bistro's and culinary institutions, we expect to pay the premium’s that customarily coincide with that grade of quality and service. It's expected however, when we stopped at what basically is an Irish pub (which I gravitate towards on many occasions), I don't anticipate this kind of exploitation and attitude as displayed by the manager who condescendingly suggested we don’t normally serve customers who question the bill and took umbrage that we had the audacity to even ask.I felt we were victims of a deceptive practice and then gas lighted for questioning the integrity of the pricing strategy that charges the price of a keg for two pitchers of beer in what is essentially an overblown diner. Stay away.

Joke of an establishment. They would not let my 23 year old girlfriend in because she had a Georgia ID even though she had multiple other proof of ID on her and many New Yorkers 23+ vouching for her. Tried to reason with them but the bouncer was aggressive and not understanding.

Try to give people a choice by stating prices before overcharging them.?

Good food, super friendly and attentive bar and wait staff, chill crowd.

I have lived in the Huntington area for over 40 years and Meehan's has been a staple for many years...that being said over the last two years this has turned into the least family friendly restaurant in Huntington...I have attempted to enjoy this town staple multiple times and it is becoming harder and harder to give this establishment our business...today was the absolute most unbelievable experience...in a bar/restaurant with more than 20 televisions we were told by the Hostess that they could not put the hockey game on the TV, then the bartender, and then a patron who must double as the AV guy that it was impossible...so we left...15 minutes later my friend goes to the SAME place and they put the hockey game on for him...I have no other choice but to take this as a CLEAR statement that Meehan's is NOT family friendly(and for the record my kids are 9 and 11..far from babies) ...do yourself a favor and go somewhere else...there are PLENTY of restaurants that are happy to treat families with courtesy and hospitality...sorry to say but Meehan's is NOT a place we will EVER go to again
