Visited Long Island a d my sister said she wanted bagels to bring home since stopped here because she said the owner was a friend. I loved this place. I grew up an islanders fan and this placed them.was NY Islanders. I loved it brings back my memories of the Long Island Deli's I Miss. Wish I got more pics but loved the painting on wall outside. I will def visit when inreturn to NY.
The sign said the breakfast special was $4.99 but I was charged $6.51 (plus the understandable credit card fees and tax). When I asked, the guy pointed to a tiny index card taped to the bottom of the screen that says "prices subject to change". I understand that prices everywhere have been going up lately because of the supply chain issues but I don't understand how a digital sign couldn't be updated to reflect the new price. In terms of the food, it was fast and fresh. I would say it's on pare with other bagel places. It was good but nothing special.
best deli ever ??? worker's are. great
This is for AV.I would love to know what you do for a living and how you would feel if someone told you how to run your company and spend your money on help. I think this deli is one of a kind and never disappoints. Funny how you automatically assume that you could be a consultant in the food industry ??. Many companies are in a tough position finding quality help, and in the food business it is extremely harder. But according to you they should throw an unlimited amount of money to anyone for help just to please YOU ?. Makes sense bro. I think donnie is 100% right by giving you the opportunity to work the grill and make sandwiches. I for one think you wouldn’t last an hour, let alone tell somebody that there business is failing.
A few weeks ago I wrote a negative review. Since then the Owner contacted me and we had a good discussion about the issues. He genuinely cares about his customers and tries to make things right. Thank you, Donnie. Blue Line Deli & Bagels is now one of my favorite go-to places. Thanks for showing your concern and for doing the right thing!! You're a good man!
fantastic breakfast special - they will get your order CORRECT and serve you in a timely fashion. HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a brekkie sammy and a coffee for 5 bucks - they even throw in a juice for free as well
REPLYING BACK TO YOU:Donnie, this isn't about receiving a complimentary breakfast. But thank you for the offer. If I knew the answer to running a high volume food establishment and maintaining quality during peak times I'd be a consultant to the industry. I would say, think about speaking to a consultant, and hire the manpower you need even if you have to pay well above the norm during "peak".Good Luck_________________________<_Ive been a fan of this place since the day I stepped in about a year ago. After living in the area for 30 years I can tell you that this is really a common situation.. A deli will start off great like "One stop" in Huntington village (now Crossroads) or "Good to Go" on Woodbury Road (now up for Rent) and they'll make the greatest Long Island Egg Sandwiches. Then it becomes very obvious that they CAN'T HANDLE THE VOLUME and THEN TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THEY HIRE A NEW grillman who likes to act like a CLOWN while he cooks "egg sanny's". So sorry that these guys are losing their edge as the place SLIPS INTO THE ABYSS OF MEDIOCRITY and no longer make great tasty egg sandwiches cooked correctly. Big change. Doubtful if I go back.
Not only is the food good (I recommend the burky), and the service is good, but these guys are all in on supporting the Islanders. They do a lot of support work for the community and they are a great bunch of guys and gals. Long island needs more establishments like this.
Great staff and great bagels! I don't have much experience with the variety of food there. Though I've gotten BEwC's there twice and wasn't a fan of the bacon. It was a bit chewy even when asked for well-done. I tried their buffalo chicken salad once and it was delish! They've got lots of great options to choose from on their menu and they have online ordering, super convenient.
We’ve been going to Blue Line regularly since they opened and it has always been delicious! The staff is very friendly and always ready to talk Islanders hockey. We recently got catering from them for two events and the food was top notch! Both times we ordered the sandwich basket which comes with three very large sides. The sandwiches were super fresh and individually wrapped which my friends liked. There was a great variety, many people had a hard time deciding which sandwich to have. There was SO MUCH FOOD!!! There was a whole second layer of sandwiches under the top layer shown in the photos. With the sides you can pick any of the salads they offer which was a nice change from the typical Cole slaw, potato salad and macaroni salad that typically comes with catering orders from other places. Danny was great taking my order and made sure to ask if there were any dietary restrictions or special sandwiches we needed for our guests. We will most definitely be catering from them again and will continue to go there regularly for breakfast and lunch.
