You know when you find a great restaurant, you always have that fear that eventually they will disappoint. Well, have no fear at this place. I’ve been going there now for the last 6 months and every time it actually just gets better. The staff are outstanding and the food & drinks are just superb. Plus, they don’t rip you off - great value.

This Place is great, walked in on a whim bc I got a spot right there.Very European style italian food compared to most heavy USA italian restaurants here. Our server was really nice, fast and pleasantDrinks were greatTuna tartar was excellentEggplant was excellentMargarita pizza was very goodVodka Pasta also greatNothing was too heavy and portions were a nice size, not huge but not too smallWe will be back again soon

Delicious food, and a great atmosphere. I truly enjoy it every time I go.

Hipster vibe. Food consistently good

The pizza was chewy and almost tasteless. The prices absurd. Calamari smelled old and the eggplant was inedible. Yuck

Featured this week:1653 Pizza Company ?80 Gerard St, Huntington, NY 11743 ??If coal fired pizza is your thing this is a must try. Everything we ordered was delicious. The calamari was perfectly cooked & flavorful. The pork belly skewers were really unique & paired so well with the homemade pickled cucumber chips. The pizza is what really blew us away. The Bronx Bacon is an absolute must try. Topped with vodka sauce, bomba chili, and house made bacon jam you get heat, sweet, and savory all in one!

Probably one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve had in Huntington Village. The one star is given for our waitress but as for the food and drinks (aka the reason I went) it was absolutely terrible. The margarita pizza was thinner than a piece of paper, soggy, and falling apart. We had to resort to using a fork and knife, which did not even pick up the flimsy “pizza”. As for the drinks, the papaya drink I ordered was a cup full of crushed ice, syrup, and no alcohol ? Because of the overflow of ice it was also finished within about 3 sips. The beer my boyfriend ordered was served in a wine glass which just added to the displeasing experience. This entire experience was very surprising from a place that LOOKS like it would blow your average corner store pizza out of the water, but actually wasn’t even comparable.

Food was delicious and great cocktails!

Always great drinks, food and a great time at 1653.

Overall, it's a cool spot and a welcome addition to Huntington. The pizza was excellent. The brick oven crust was superb. The pepperoni in particular was fantastic. We also had the carbonara, which was quite good for American-style carbonara: creamy, not too salty and the spaghetti was fresh. We also had a pear salad, which was excellent. A heads up, though: If you're hoping to have a relaxing dinner, this probably isn't the best spot. We went on a Tuesday at 6pm and it was not only very busy but the music was way too loud (for those interested in a relaxing vibe). If you're there with friends to eat, drink and be merry, it's a solid "A". If you're there with folks who have a hard time hearing, or just aren't into the energetic vibe during dinner, it's probably a B-. Also, the music selection may be off-putting to some: techno, at least the night I went.
