Once 9pm hits it used to be hard to find food that wasn’t 7-11 or fastfood in this neighborhood. Shahs has consistently provided us with cost-friendly consistently delicious and fresh food “after-hours” for a few years now. Thank you. And thank you for being reliable and dependable
would give a zero if i could. i compared between the Melville location and the huntington location tasted RANCID. they do not wash their rice, it tastes stale and the salad always looks off putting. always have a rude encounter with customer service being awful, do yourself a favor and go to any other location. so disappointed since this location is only 3 minutes away from me.
This is usually my favorite place to go late at night, i’m a regular customer here since opening. During my last visit I saw two roaches crawling on the back wall above the counter where they put their Door Dash orders. Safe to say I wont be returning until your bug problem is addressed.
This is the GO-TO food spot for me and my family. For less than $10 you can fully satisfy yourself with their platters. The staff is quick, polite, patient and welcoming. I’m a local and always feel like my visits there are like a trip to an extended family member. Glad to have had them during times I didn’t pack a lunch or didn’t cook dinner. They’re a godsend. I just stopped in at Shah's Halal to grab some food, I ended up getting a lamb salad with a little bit of everything as well as some shami kebab. The one thing that stood out is that they actually have some variety of stuff to put in your salad and oh wow is it delicious. On top of all of that the young man Ben that helped me this evening was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food, we had a great conversation and I'm glad to say I will be coming back soon. PS. If all of your employees are like Ben you're going to do really well.
Place is always amazing and has quick, friendly service. Gentleman named Ben is the greatest of all time. Anytime I’m there for food and he’s there, It turns into a nice conversation. Entire staff is filled with cultured, hardworking people. All respect goes to them and the wonderful people working there.
What a fabulous place for take-out! Shah's on Jericho Turnpike is our go to place for delicious comfort food every week. Their chicken over rice with white sauce is amazing and we love every kind of gyro they offer. The hummus is great and the soft pita bread is addictive. In addition, they are so nice and friendly and help you figure out what to order. Love Shah's!!!!

It was such a pleasure to try all 4 dishes, chicken, fish, lamb, and spicy chicken. I do not know how they make the chicken so moist! Such amazing flavor. ANd I tried every sauce possible. The 'young man' that served me had a beaming smile. I want to say his name was Amand? prob wrong. But he had just come from Afghanistan 1 year ago and his english was pretty good! It's great to support local families, and of course, refugees and immigrants! Wish I lived closer!
The staff at this location are friendly and humble. Food is always fresh! It's my place to go when craving late dinner or in rush to grab something and go. Quick and efficient place compared to other places.
