Excellent service, great tasting food, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Kabob is great, and Bolani is life for me personally!

Amazing fresh food, amazing owners, amazing customer service. Such a diverse menu everything tastes so good, from their famous bolani to their juicy kabobs. You must try. Finally some authentic Afghani Food !!

Last year in July of 2021 around 9pm the TV circled in red fell and broke on my head as I was opening the door to their fridge to pick out the drinks I wanted with my meal.Instead of being attentive to my injury the owner proceeded to charge me double for my meal (2 gyros and 2 drinks) and jokingly blamed me for breaking their tv. At that very moment my biggest concern was getting my daughter who was crying in the car home to bed and getting the food to my wife who was tired and hungry ; not the pain that I had just endured , so I left without calling for an ambulance... All I did was go to pick out a drink and the tv came down and broke on my head causing extreme pain and discomfort. Without their help I am seeing a chiropractic doctor to heal the pain they caused me. I have had my lawyers reach out to them numerous time but to no avail. Try to work with this pain has made it very difficult on me and my family for I have had to change my line of work due to the fact I can’t bend down or turn my head all too much without feeling the pain on the back of my neck and my spine. All I ask is for the owners of this establishment to respond to my lawyers letters who have been trying to reach them ever since the accident occurred early July of 2021.

If you're looking for home cooked Afghan food, this place is it. Me and my family went last night, we ordered:Lentil SoupBolani (potato)Veal DopiazaBeef MantuKabuli PulaoPink ChaiOverall, you could tell they're new at this whole thing, the waitress seemed new and wasn't really well versed in the menu or food, but she seemed young. Most of the food we ordered wasn't even on the menu, we had to ask. Most of the food on the menu is typical fast food, gyros, sandwiches, etc... Its food you can find anywhre really. But the home-made afghan food is unique so I really wished it was on the menu. Aside from that point, one thing that was kinda off putting was that some plates arrived wet, we had to dry them ourselves .In terms of how the food was:The lentil soup was delicious, tasted homemade, had lots of veggies in it. Was really comforting. The bolani was really unique. Most places use store bought wonton wrappers but this dough was homemade. And the filling wasn't just boiled potatoes, it was filled with spices and herbs as well so you could tell they put effort into it.The meat in the veal dopiaza was a bit dry and chewy but over all it tasted really good. The dal was properly cooked too and the onions had a nice flavor. The beef mantu had a good flavor but I found that the dough was a bit thick n chewy and the filling was not enough in each dumpling. There was more onion in the filling than meat. The Kabuli pulao was delicious, the closest I've had to homemade at any Afghan restaurant. You could really taste the cardomom. And even the raisins and carrots had more flavor.Since I'm kashmiri, my family is known for our pink chai, we drink ours salted. The Afghan version was really different than ours. It honestly didn't taste like much other than sugar and rose syrup, which isn't really authentic.Overall we had a good experience and will be back for more, hopefully they change their menu!

Very delicious food & excellent service. I normally don’t write reviews but I feel like they’ve earned one. Compared to most afghan restaurants that I’ve dined in; this restaurant gives large portion sizes … down to the salad and their food is very authentic. I really enjoyed the gandana bolani. It was as if my own mother made it. The lady/ owner was also very sweet and served us fast. Definitely worth trying !

I drive by this place every day and finally decided to stop in. To say I'm happy I did is an understatement. Between the great food, the amazing staff, and the family like atmosphere I was so glad I chose to eat here.I ordered the bolani to start. It was cooked perfect and had great flavor. Sort of a creamy flavorful potato wedged in a flaky crust. For the main, I ordered the lamb kabob and the chicken shish kabob plated. They both came with a very fresh salad to start. When the dishes came out I was absolutely amazed at the portions. The value for what you get is unbeatable. More importantly, the taste. The lamb practically melded in my mouth and had so much flavor. The chicken had just the right amount of char and was extra juicy. If you're in the area and you want some great kabob served by great people, then come on in. And if you're not in the area, drive by or take the LIRR, it's only a few blocks away.

Hello, before you enter this fine restaurant let me give you an understanding of how delicious every menu item is... Literally everything these chefs serve is made with love and care with tried and true methods that have never been questioned or challenged because their appropriateness is apparent and self-evident. From culinary Masters to regular patrons this is a beloved a cuisine.

The best bologna ever. We always order extra to take home because it comes out so fresh, but stays just as good for many days after coming out of the oven. Tastes just like home!!

Food is delicious, I had the koobideh Kabab and Bolani and both were very flavorful. Friendly service! My kabab came cooked medium-well which I personally liked but if you’re obsessed with well-done I’d definitely ask for well-done

Never had better afghan food!! Very delicious and you can taste the quality of the meat, only fresh ingredients, would definitely come here again.
