Normally, I do not leave reviews but this is very deserving. Unfortunately, it looks like I am forced to give this restaurant at least one star. I came back home to NYC for the holidays after moving out of state a few months ago, the girls and I planned to get together for dinner and wanted to try some place new, seafood it is! First and foremost, the food was not all that great and what made it even more disappointing was when the bill came. Apparently, we were charged double the price shown on the restaurant’s extremely misleading menu. At best, the waitress should have properly explained ordering requirements and pricing beforehand. I am positive we are not the first ones to run into this matter. Aside from the lack of information from our waitress, she was pleasant. However, we got an entirely different vibe from the employee taking payment at the counter, who rudely insulted my friend by telling her there was something wrong with her card when the method of payment was perfectly fine. Like I said, I am only here for a short time and although seeing my friends is what was most important to me, when you spend hundreds of $ on dinner, you expect it to be worth it am I right? ZERO stars. Take me back to Houston where I can get some good BBQ, goodbye Hook and Reel!
First let me start out by saying I will definitely try this restaurant again and update the review.I went here for a quick dinner and it was anything but that. We were one of like 4 tables in the restaurant and everything still took forever. The waitress serving us would disappear for a while then suddenly reappear at a table that wasn't ours. I can overlook this because everywhere is short staffed plus she always kept my water full.I ordered the crab fries to start. The fries were nice and crispy, there was plenty of crab meat on them, and the appearance was nice. The taste of the sauce on these was a little too strong and they were really messy for fries. For the main, me and a buddy got a flounder po' boy and a shrimp one both with a side of lobster bisque. The portion of flounder and shrimp was very good. Everything looked fantastic, but the the taste of the sauces was overwhelming. Both sandwiches had a white and orange sauce on them. They were tasty, just WAY too much sauce, you couldn't taste any fish or shrimp even when you try to wipe the sauce off. The bread was a bit hard as well so it made it harder to eat.The lobster bisque I had for the side was perfect. Great taste, lots of meat on the bottom, perfect for a cold day.Overall, not the greatest, BUT everyone has an off day. Although I won't be ordering the same foods, I will come back for a seafood boil.
Always a great experience. The service was exceptional and we all had a great time Celebrating my brother's birthday. There was even karaoke ? which was fun and entertaining. Overall, it was a gun night with delicious food.
Atiya I think was the young lady name, this place was on point the food was pippen hot an season well
OMG, THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE!! I challenged them to make it hot enough for me and they came through. I cried and sweated through my meal and loved every second of it. The sauce was so good I had to order bread to soak it up. When I finished the bread, I asked for a straw to finish it off.:-)
The food is delicious. I loved the snow crab legs boil in spicy traditional Cajun seasoning. Fries are good. Server was nice.
Shannon was a great waitress! Very friendly and helped us customized our seafood boil. We left with our tummy’s very full.
