I'm eating in the Sweet Shop for more thank twenty years. Always the same quality and attention!

Great diner style type of place. I ordered the short stack with bacon. The pancakes were soft and moist, which allowed it to soak up the syrup. And the bacon was nice and crispy. And let me add that they do not skimp out on the bacon. I also ended up trying the corn beef hash which was good but not for me. The prices are very cheap compared to places in NY in spite of them raising up the prices. For 3 people we ended up paying around $33! A good hefty breakfast with coffee included! Where else can you find a cheap delicious breakfast?!

A Hicksville classic!I've lived in Hicksville my entire life and have been here many many time. It's a nice a simple place that serves up good breakfast and lunch. Small menus keep quality and it's always quality when you come here. The other day I got the western omelet. Great size, great taste, made fresh and fast. The coffee is good and the waitress is always walking around freshening it up for you. You can't really beat the price and quality of the breakfast in the area.Great food, great people, great value. ?

***** (Five Star) Review - The hubby and I love the Hicksville Sweet Shop! It is such a warm and welcoming restaurant/ice cream shop – were everyone knows your name! We reserved a table for Valentines Day and had a wonderful meal consisting of crab cakes, fried shrimp, French fries, vegetables and, for dessert, fresh homemade strawberry shortcake – reservations are rarely needed! Homemade ice cream and chocolates are also delicious! I can honestly say I never had a bad meal at the Hicksville Sweet Shop! Thank you Eva, Phil, Harry, Walter, Alma, Jeannie & Clair❤️e!

Traveling L.I. On Sunday and the shop was closed so came back mid week - today Wednesday. Phillip, and his wife bought the place in 1974 serviced me and he had to call his wife to ask her a question but couldn’t get in touch with her. Love the old rotary phone. Bought a box of chocolates for $13 and 2 scoops of ice cream for $4 more - burgundy cherry and mint. I wanted Irish cream, peanut butter or pistachio but Phillip couldn’t find and after we both tasted several different flavors, it seemed unimportant. I was just happy just to taste anything and enjoy the store for what it is. Ice cream was delicious. Homemade and fresh. I’ll have to come back for a proper breakfast.

Good throwback luncheonette. Good pancakes, friendly staff.

Classic old school luncheonette. Good food, good value, good service, good cup o’ joe. You come in here knowing what you want and knowing what your gonna get. It’s my first time back here in 27 years or so and I love that it’s virtually the same. I’ll definitely come back in a couple weeks.

Some of the best coffee I have ever had.

Clean and fast.

Perfect eggs, home fries & bacon served hot. Excellent service too.
