Imagine the friendliest person in your life. The person who you’re always happy to see as they’re always so friendly and warm to be around. Now imagine them owning a bar and inviting you over to cook and serve you drinks. That’s what this place is in my opinion. No frills. Nothing fancy about this place at all but thats not a knock. It’s cozy and feels like a sports themed basement but just of course not. It’s the vibe though. Food comes on paper plates which at first seems odd. But think about it, do you like doing dishes?! Had a chicken parm hero and I’m very picky about them. This tasted almost like moms. Very delicious. The bartender made sure We were accommodated even during a busy night. Forgot her name but she’s an absolute gem of a person. Good to see a local spot ran by local people who care. Hope this place sticks around for a long time.

What a wonderful experience I had at Double L Tavern in Hicksville L.I. Everything delicious, freshly prepared, served nice and hot. My Cosmo was freshly prepared, and heavy on the vodka!! highly recommend and look forward to eating again there soon!! Kudos to the Cook…you are VERY talented!!!

Love this place! It’s like Cheers, where everybody know your name. The owners are awesome. So accommodating and they make sure your every need is met. If you want something they don’t have, which is odd, they will make sure they have it for your next visit. The bartenders are great. Always pleasant and kind. Doesn’t get any better than this❤️
