Horrible experience! Absolutely horrible ! Dirty table with ants everywhere. Food smelled really bad and literally the food was ready and sitting outside while the person was on the phone. By the time food came to our table it was cold and ants where crawling all over.Bathroom was out of service while my kid really had to go.
Don’t walk just runs to eat. The best Afghan food ever. I think the price is very adorable than other Afghan restaurants. The food portion is very large & full. Very busy place so if you can make a reservation before you go. Taking one star out because of the cleanliness, the tables are so sticky otherwise food are people they are amazing.
After a long time, they finally improved the quality of food. I tried murgh plao, and it was delicious, services has always been good and courteous. It's worth visiting now.
I love this place, thr qabuli pluao is amazing. It comes with a lamb shank.
One of our take out go-tos since we are local to the area. I’d recommend the lamb shank with kabuli palao as it’s very authentic.White sauce is salty at times but I eat less salt generally too.
This restaurant has the best Afghan food, especially if the owner (Najib jaan) is there--the food will be extra delicious. He is also very nice and hospitable. We have been coming here since the restaurant first opened, and they don't disappoint. The rice has such a fragrant aroma that will open up your appetite. Their eggplant is never bitter, and tastes just right--even to someone who isn't a fan of eggplant. The aush is delicious. They put a homemade yogurt in it, but for some reason, it tasted cheesy to me. I really enjoyed their aush even though I typically don't like homemade yogurt as it's usually sour. The chicken tikka is super juicy and delicious. It isn't spicy but you can add chutney if you'd like. The lamb tikka is flavorful without being chewy.Their firnee has slivered almonds inside and is topped with ground pistachios and cardamom. It is thick and creamy, without feeling too heavy. They used to make sheer yakh (in house ice cream topped with rice vermicelli and ground pistachio), but they stopped during the pandemic. Now that's something we will definitely miss! Definitely recommend this restaurant!
This place serves wonderful Afghani food. The restaurant has a nice seating area with different pictures depicting the Afghani culture. The menu is extensive but the restaurant is known for its pliaw and kabobs. Chicken breast or tikka and lamb chops along with kofta are some of the popular dishes. It is usually served with brown rice, though it can also be paired with naan or salad. Great place to enjoy some delicious food with large seating area.
Just ordered a family combo no lamb no beef when asked they said it’s all in there it’s not cool and it’s uncooked never again this place used to be great not anymore do not go there
Where to begin?!? I’ve been coming here for years and never once have been disappointed. Every single thing from here is amazing. I usually go with the combination platter and a few apps. Their monti and samosas are phenomenal and the soups are really good too. More than anything their white sauce is one of a kind
I ordered 5 different things and everything was very good. Prices were in line with other Afghan restaurants in the area. Not sure why there are any negative reviews.
