Every time we visit family in Hamburg, we must stop here for the best Cannolis!! The homemade manicotti and broccoli garlic are favorites too! This restaurant is usually our first stop before we visit family and friends.
This place sucks went there before the food was cold, the service there sucked. It took my waitress like 3hrs to give me my check when it wasn’t even busy, will never eat at this place again it should be shut down
Any place the owner greets you at the door in giving 5 stars. Custom made my gluten free dinner for me. Was much appreciated. Great food and menu. Sauce was delicious. The rude lady next to us complained about the sauce. Please don't change it. People should go elsewhere if they don't like it. Take care.
Okay so I feel compelled to review. First tried this place in 2020 and forgot what I ordered for takeout but recall that it was disappointing. At the time when I picked it up I couldn't help but notice that none of the staff were wearing their masks correctly during the COVID-19 pandemic (not over the nose, why bother, how disrespectful and unprofessional). The decor is a bit much, there's just so much clutter and faux plants that don't look like they're regularly cleaned or dusted going on.I decided to try takeout again in Jan 2022 and it was horrible (no exaggeration). Got the pasta broccoli - a pretty simple dish, right? It smelled and tasted odd and off.. instead of the typical light fresh taste you get from this dish, the oil and garlic tasted bad, not fresh at all. There were entire pieces of garlic in it. I have to agree with the other reviewer that said the food had a 'dirty kitchen taste/smell' to it because I too have worked in restaurants and I'm familiar with it. It reminded me of my great grandmother's house back in the day who never cleaned properly and cooked with cheap, expired, questionable ingredients. The bread was stale, not toasted, with a drizzle of equally off tasting oil and garlic on it. I only took a few bites and I had heartburn from it and completely lost my appetite. That's about $45 I've spent there on two of the most laughably terrible Italian takeout meals I've ever had.
The worst experience I ever had with a restaurant. My wife ordered a large sicilian pizza double cheese and pepperoni then 1/2 mushrooms and green olives. She picked up the pizza and came home and when we opened, we realized that the pizza barely had any cheese and no mushrooms. My wife called to complain and they found any excuse to avoid admitting their mistakes and tried to blame the person who took the order for not writing down the correct ingredients (this is not my problem but theirs to employ incompetent people taking phone orders). At this point they offered to make 1/2 a pizza with the ingredients that we ordered. A large pizza with 1/2 side green olives cannot cost $31. Yes that is how much they charged us. Doing a little math, they charged us for the ingredients and never put them on. In the end we decided to eat the pizza as it was, but it ended up directly in the garbage because it was the worst pizza I ever ate, and trust me I am italian born and raised in Italy and I know about pizza!
This is truly a Southtown's gem!! Excellent staff + service!! Absolutely superb food as well!! Anna + Vincenzo always make you feel like family ♥️
Salad and food not that good. A single shot cocktail costs 9.95. Ridiculous! Will never go back.
amazing staff, beautiful setting, and the food is beyond great!!
I just had the worst chicken parm of my entire life. I can't believe you can mess up chicken parmesan, I didn't even received pasta with my meal. The chicken was Gooey and the sauce was odd tasting. Multiple people at our office also had meals that tasted terrible. Please save your money and appetite.
Fabulous pizza, waitress was attentive, prices were very good and the atmosphere was wonderful
