Went to Hoak‘s for a friends birthday party and though we were a large group, they were very timely with service once we actually sat down. Food and drink orders came up quick!I ordered their insanely sized buffalo chicken sandwich which was delicious and the chicken was soooo tender. It came with fries were fine. I also ordered a long island ice tea, which was good as well.Overall everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and the staff were very friendly and nice. We did have views of the water, but it was a little too cool to set outside for dining.
I loved sitting right on the water .. made it feel as if your away in some distant place ....even though I live minutes away from the lake ..the service was good they had a young busser clearing away my plates soon as he seen them ...which was right away..the wait staff was polite attentive and the food was good...and came after the appetizer ...not at the same time which is annoying ...had a drink minutes after being seated
On the water dining at its finest. Extensive menu for lunch and dinner. Food is of the highest quality. Service is friendly and welcoming! Can't beat the patio on a warm summer day or evening!
Loved it here! The waitress was amazing, the food was fresh and the portions were appropriate for the price. They have a vegetarian chick'n sandwich that I haven't had at a restaurant before. Would definitely return!
I was on a search for Tom and Jerry’s for my friends who hadn’t tried it before. Being that it’s the end of the season, I wasn’t optimistic. Hoak’s came up on a search. I had never been, but the photos and menu looked appetizing. I called ahead to confirm they still had Tom and Jerry’s and the owner offered to make them, even though they had stopped serving them.When we arrived we were seated right away in a cozy booth. I wish I could remember our server's name because she went above and beyond (wore cute cat ears). The owner had a fresh batch of meringue made for up for the drinks.I was expecting typical Buffalo bar fare, but holy heck was I surprised! I order the Reuben with coleslaw and I couldn’t stop eating. My friend ordered the Original Style Chicken sandwich and it lived up to its photo. They also offered a prime rib sandwich which was equally impressive. Ended the night with the turtle pie.Overall if I could give this place a 10 star review I would. It takes a lot for me to get excited about a place, but this one did it! The combination of the staff and food were amazing! I wish I had taken photos but everything that we had looked exactly as it does on their site.
My husband & I hadn't been here in years. On a whim, my husband suggested we go here for dinner. We both ordered Surf & Turf and it was fantastic. Brett the bartender couldn't have been nicer and we had the most unexpectedly wonderful evening! We will be back!
I expected better. The fish /seafood plate was served on the plate still sitting in water? It wasn't a sauce or butter.. made the fish and scollops soggy. The food has been better in the past so I don't don't if it's just the kitchen that night or if this is a larger issue. Everything else was good including the service.
Beautiful lake view. We had wings and roast beef. Both were very good. Service was a little slow, but waitress was friendly.
We called to make reservations and we’re told we could not. It was quite busy for a Monday afternoon. We were seated outside which is what we asked for. The sun was beating down on us and bees were swarming. We asked to be moved to a table in the shade and we’re told it was reserved. We asked for an umbrella and they said they were all broken. A member of our party called at the table and asked to reserve a table and was told no reservations. The food came and no utensils. We asked for them and was told they are washing some. The food was very good but with our overall experience we will not be returning.
