I’ve eaten at this establishment for many years and I can tell you that Sushi Ya has outstanding quality and service. As per their name, the sushi has ALWAYS been very fresh and I have never been let down. The “sushi ya” roll is my favorite. The Kobe beef is mouthwatering and delicious and the amazing service from the restaurant staff and the owners just add to the great experience. If you are reading this review with hesitation, trust me and go you will not regret it.
It's so so. The service & food quality has definitely changed after pandemic + the ambience inside the restaurant is dull & not welcome. Looks run down. Not sure we'll be going back.
The food was not good. The sushi was not fresh and there is a slight odor when you enter the restaurant. We ordered a salad, clear soup, fried oysters, 1 avocado cucumber roll, 1 sweet potato roll, 1 spicy tuna, and 1 shrimp tempura roll. Tempura rolls were not warm (which leads me to believe they must've had the fried tempura pieces premade and sitting down all day). Instead of spicy tuna we were served spicy salmon and told that's what we order (which isn't what my friend ordered). Fried oysters tasted like oil and air. Fried onion pieces that were offered were stale and chewy opposed to being crunchy. While eating my friend continued to express how hungry she was because the food was so bad and unsatisfying. We asked for a couple of things to be taken off the bill (salad and fried oysters), paid, and went next door to Kaji Sushi and Lounge where we had a much better experience. Everything was better there even the spicy mayo. I literally danced while I was eating my sushi at Kaji.
Their shrimp tempura roll is the best I’ve had, I’m sad I found them because im kinda obsessed now and will be going to them probably every time Im in the area
The sushi rolls were delicious but a bit on the small side for the price involved and the service took a long time even though the restaurant was basically empty. Maybe it was just an off-night but probably not some place I would go back to.
The sushi we ordered was really tasty. Well plated and designed. We will return to this establishment.
The finest hibachi kitchen and sushi bar in the area. The food is always delicious; from the various hibachi style dishes to the impeccable sushi rolls, there is no way you could go wrong. However, the truly hidden gem of this establishment is its wonderful staff and brilliant managment, Kelly and Eric. These two have created an atmosphere of comfort and familiarity in their humble yet luxurious dining area; that's why I make this a frequent stop if I'm ever in the mood for truly excellent food.
Went down the street to Sushi Ya after another restaurant was not as it seems and don’t regret a second of it! Got to sit outside in the beautiful weather and enjoy the nice Sake menu. The sushi was fresh, delicious and fast! Eric and Kelly, the owners are wonderful people and made sure we were taken care of that night, even inviting us in for a family gathering (buffet!!) just so we had something fun to do! Would go again and again! Thank you!!
Amazing meal. Pretty sure i’m family now. Escalated from good sushi dinner to full on party before we ordered desert. 10/10 would recommend. Eric and Kelly can adopt my children.
my friend got ecolli from this place. they have 7 major health violations on top of it. and they don’t even have yum yum sauce. please if you don’t want to be in the hospital for 7 day, be out of work, lose money and be drowning in hospital bills DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!
